Sure we love a classic beauty look. Red lips and long lashes, natural eyeshadow and nude lips—you can’t go wrong with either—but sometimes you crave a look that’s a little out of the box. Needless to say, we’re always on the lookout for an unexpected makeup pairing to shake up the beauty status quo. We got just what we wished for last night thanks to Leslie Mann, who stepped out for the UK premiere of “How to Be Single,” sporting the prettiest makeup combo we’ve seen in a while: frosted blue eyeshadow and a soft shade of pink lipstick. Now we know what you’re thinking, “1980s alert.” But trust us, this look was anything but dated.

The key to pulling off this look lies within the color choices. Mann’s frosted blue shadow leaned more toward the metallic end of the shadow spectrum and was applied with a very light hand over the lid and slightly under the bottom lashline, allowing her full, lengthy lashes take center stage.

Next, for the lips, Mann wore a soft pink lip that actually had peach undertones—perfect, for brining out the rosy apricot hue of her blush. This semi-gloss lipstick was not too bright but still managed to be a show-stopper.

Although we’re still waiting to see the exact products Mann wore to create this look (seriously, we’re dying to know that lipstick!), we found a few products that can help us get the look ourselves in the meantime. Yves Saint Laurent Full Metal Shadow in Wet Blue ($30, sephora.com) is a great metallic blue option that has a hint of silver undertones. Plus the applicator tip allows for precise color placement. Tip: Add a dusting of silver shadow on top if you want to tone down the blue! And for that lip, if you’re leaning for a more glossy finish like Mann, we recommend Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in Mai Tai ($20, sephora.com), which is a playful coral color with a touch of glossy sheen.
