Valentine’s Day is just so much cuter and sweeter now that I have a daughter (she’s five months old and has no idea it’s Valentine’s Day). Normally, my husband and I order takeout on V-Day and watch a show, but this year I went all out and decorated my house in pink, red, and white heart-shaped garlands, bought Mila and myself matching outfits and heart-adorned pajamas, and splurged on a few Valentine’s Day toys. We’re certainly not above a toy dupe—the way Mila chews on everything, it’s likely even the sturdiest of plushies will likely not last longer than a few months. Make it a couple weeks if our two dogs get ahold of them. May as well save a few bucks, and these Squishmallow “alternatives” are just as cute and soft.
