Are AD and Clay still together from Love Is Blind Season 6? Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Clay Gravesande split in the last episode of Love Is Blind. They were one of five couples who got engaged in The Pods on Love Is Blind Season 6, along with Jimmy and Chelsea; Jeramey and Laura; Brittany and Kenneth; and Johnny and Amy.
At the altar, Clay confesses that he can’t continue with the wedding. “This has been the best process. AD, I love you,” he tells her. “I don’t think it’s responsible for me to say ‘I do.’ But I want you to know that I’m rockin’ with you.”
He explained that he still needs to work on himself to make it work. “We’ll go through this together. I don’t care what nobody says. I know fully I’m not ready for marriage,” he says.
The two attempt to make amends, but it seems like it’s over for good. “I don’t see myself continuing to date him,” AD says. “You don’t wanna pick me. Somebody else will. I’m done. My heart is broken.”
Before their engagement, AD and Clay were involved in a love triangle with Matthew Duliba, another contestant on Love Is Blind Season 6, who AD broke up with before she chose Clay. When asked about whether they were still together in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Clay jokingly responded, “TBD.” AD, for her part, teased, “I would say you would have to wait and see.”As for why she chose Clay over Matthew, AD told Entertainment Tonight, “When he was able to let go of the player and that weird energy, I was like, ‘OK, I can let him in a little bit more.'”
As of writing this, both AD and Clay still follow each other on Instagram, so they seem to be on good terms. Clay also liked AD’s Instagram post in January 2024 announcing herself as a contestant on Love Is Blind Season 6. “Ahhhhh YALLLL So excited to finally share that I’m part of the Love is Blind Season 6 cast. Love is Blind premieres this Valentine’s Day, only on Netflix,” AD captioned the post. Clay also liked an Instagram selfie video AD posted in May 2023, which was around the time Love Is Blind Season 6 is expected to have filmed. “POV: You’re looking in my camera roll (Not the hidden album though),” she captioned the post.
AD, for her part, hasn’t liked Clay’s Love Is Blind Season 6 announcement post or any of Clay’s Instagram posts, at the time of writing.
In an interview with Us Weekly in February 2024, AD called Clay a “walking red flag,” especially after asking about her looks. “Oh my gosh, Clay is a walking red flag,” she said. “I mean, from the moment I met him, it was [like] ‘red flag, red flag.’” She continued, “When he wanted to know about the physical and what I looked like, I think that was very telling and a huge red flag.” AD also revealed that she and Matthew talked after The Pods following their drama. “Matthew and I had a few conversations post-pods and he apologized,” she said. “He said his piece, I said mine, and we moved on.”
Unlike past cities Love Is Blind has filmed in, such as Houston in Season 5 and Seattle in Season 4, marriage records for Charlotte, North Carolina—where Season 6 filmed—are not publicly available, so there isn’t a way to obtain AD and Clay’s marriage records to confirm whether they’re still together.
In a Reddit post, fans noticed an Entertainment Tonight interview where Clay was wearing a necklace given to him by AD. Though it might not indicate much, rumors are swirling that the duo are back together.
