aespa’s discography is stacked with incomparable hits. Last year, the group kicked off the year with the buzzy and whirring single “Supernova” and was armed with later hits in their 5th mini-album Whiplash like the eponymous single which gives that same unwavering pulsing energy.

Contrastingly in the same EP, they have the hip-hop infused song “Pink Hoodie” and the girls emerged in pink hoodies and were loose on the stage with more fan interactions and sparking intense reliability. They’re just girls who want to have fun and have no hesitation in doing so!

Welcome to MY (Virtual) World

A huge part of aespa’s lore and concepts is their AI use. The members have their own AI avatars which blur the lines between the virtual world of Kwangya and true idol personas. A particularly intense part of the show was a transition to aespa’s AI member Naevis. The arena seats vibrated alongside the somersaulting visuals. But once it was back to aespa, the audience jumped back on their feet to dance to their assertive single “Whiplash.”

Spice It Up With Solo Stages

Between their two upbeat bangers “Better Things” and “Spice It Up,” the girls flaunted their own personalities and individual styles during their solo stages. Giselle’s “Dopamine” exuded ultimate cool girl energy, Karina brought the energy through the roof with “Up,” Ningning did the complete opposite of her song “Bored” and made the crowd extremely enticed, and Winter gracefully used the extended stage with choreography that flowed like a river. The diverse talents that make up aespa show their readiness for a range of genres and moods.
