Maria Georgas: Virgo

It might be a little shocking since you might have expected Maria to be a daring fire sign for her boldness, or a zippy air sign with her funny quips. But her Virgoan nature rings truer than any fire or air energy. As a Virgo, Maria is sharp. She’s keenly aware of everything going on around her, which helps her check Sydney’s mean girl attitude. Sydney Gordon: Leo

Unsurprisingly, Sydney is a Leo. While Leo can have wonderful attributes, it’s apparent that Sydney leans into more of the negative Leo qualities. Leo is hailed as a drama queen, which is fitting given that Sydney is gunning for the villain title this season. Sydney’s Leo attributes shine as she constantly seeks to be the center of attention by bashing Maria’s character. Time and time again, Sydney turns fun events, like the pool party, into an unnecessary witch hunt. Her relentlessness to stop the “mean girl” is true to her stubborn Leo energy. 

Lea Cayann & Jess Edwards: Pisces

 Lea and Jess share the same zodiac sign, which is pretty obvious given how they interact with Maria. Unlike Sydney’s fiery aggressiveness, the two Pisces make quick little jabs before swimming away. Out of the two, Jess boldly confronts Maria during a cocktail party. But Jess quickly backs down when Maria stands up for herself. Meanwhile, Lea is seemingly too afraid to actually confront Maria, so she talks smack in her confessionals instead. Lea and Jess also embody the Pisces stereotype of being a victim, which may explain why these women feel justified in their feelings toward Maria.

Joey Graziadei: Gemini

If anyone can handle the stupidest fight in all of Bachelor history, it’s Joey. His Gemini energy helps him in more ways than one during this silly feud. Joey’s ability to communicate with both sides without coming across as biased is one example of Gemini’s duality. Joey seems to be unbiased during his interactions as he gathers information to assess what’s going on. Since he’s an air sign, Joey remains cool, calm, and collected. Air signs aren’t typically excitable, so Joey’s disposition is perfect for handling conflict without adding any fuel to the fire. 

The Astrology Behind the Drama

With everyone’s zodiac signs in mind, it’s important to look at their synastry. Synastry is the comparison of two or more zodiac signs to see how compatible the zodiac signs could be with one another. Pros and cons for each zodiacal pairing can arise during a synastry consultation. Synastry can be an excellent gauge for why The Bachelor contestants have so much beef based on their sun signs.

It shouldn’t be surprising that Maria’s and Sydney’s sun signs aren’t typically compatible. Virgo and Leo create a semi-sextile, suggesting that the zodiac signs may struggle to find common ground. So, this is not an easy aspect. Virgo may feel like Leo is too self-absorbed and dramatic, which may deter Virgo from pursuing a connection.
