Jonathon, the third-place finalist for Jenn’s Bachelorette season, was announced as a contestant for Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. “You are a great guy and you deserve to find love. Assuming you’re still single…there’s a certain beach that’s going to be opening next summer. So I would hereby like to officially extend to you the very first invite to the beach. What do you say?” host Jesse Palmer asked Jonathon during Jenn’s “Men Tell All Special,” to which he agreed.
“I honestly was shook [when they announced it tonight]. I had no expectation. Nobody warned me. I wish they would have so I didn’t just, like, freak out,” Jonathon told Us Weekly of the Bachelor in Paradise invitation after the episode. “Because, like, in my mind, I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I would ever do TV again,’ and then Jesse’s like, ‘So, there’s this thing on the beach that you’d be great for.’ And now, I’m just coming out of that mentality of like, I don’t ever want to miss again or hold myself back.”
He continued, “So, you’re sitting there with that mindset, and then somebody has this opportunity where there’s incredible women for you to meet. You’re like, ‘Well shit, OK. I guess I gotta say yes, I’ll be there.’”
In May 2025, ABC announced that Jonathon was one of the original Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 contestants who joined the beach on Day 1. After The Bachelorette Season 21 finale, Jonathon seemingly dated Bachelorette Jenn Tran for a short period of time before she moved on with her professional dancer, Sasha Farber, whom she was partnered with on Dancing With the Stars Season 33.
