Are Becca and Austin still together from Married at First Sight season 17? Nope, they also decide to split on Decision Day. Instagram fan account @mafsfan revealed that the two divorced during the duration of the show. They certainly seemed to have the strongest connection out of all the couples, despite some of their differences. Austin in Christian and Becca is Jewish but identifies as Agnostic.
“One thing that we kinda connected on was the similarities between Christianity, Judaism and Islam,” Austin said in the episode that aired on January 3, 2023. “So I’m somewhat agnostic in the fact that there are so many similarities, like, they could all be the same thing. Like, who’s to say? Who knows? I don’t, that’s for sure.” He added: “I don’t think any of that affects how I care for you. Like, I can still love you regardless of whatever happens in the afterlife.”
He later said that he was encouraged by how she interacts with kids. “She is really great with children, and seeing that is very important to me,” Austin told producers in one episode. “I would be lying if I said that I hadn’t really ever thought about how we were going to, like, raise children together, even though we have different beliefs.”
Becca is a wedding photographer, who says on her professional website: “My journey in photography started when I graduated from college with a degree in Communication many moons ago. My degree allowed me to see the importance in storytelling through words, but I realized I had already found my favorite way to tell stories long before college that had no connection to the words I studied, and that was through the narrative of pictures. My camera allows for the same powerful feat my words can achieve: freeze a moment in time, transcribe memories, and capture timeless joy.”
She’s matched with Austin, who works in business development and wants an “American dream life.” Not much is known about Austin’s previous relationships but he and Becca seem like a good fit on paper. Will it last? Only time will tell.
