I’m a sneaker girl through and through and am usually never without my favorite styles from Cariuma, Adidas, and even some good designer dupes from Target. But the ballet flats trend has come for my shoe collection, and I can’t stop wearing them with everything from casual to dressy looks. A few weeks ago, I was doing some serious investigative journalism on the best ballet flats and noticed a subtrend within the flats family: From Dolce Vita to Free People, mesh styles are quietly popping up everywhere.

The Best Mesh Flats at a Glance

Lucky for me, I was recently gifted a pair of mesh ballet flats from Margaux—which, side note, are seriously one of the most comfortable ballet flats ever—so I am ready to stomp around in sheer style (literally and figuratively) this season.

I know these flats aren’t the most budget-friendly ballet flats, but they are by far one of the most comfortable pairs I own. In addition to having that trendy mesh construction, these flats feature flexible leather trim and soles for a level of quality that makes them well worth the high price tag. The flats come in an impressively inclusive size range of 3 through 14, are true to size, and fit like a glove, which isn’t something I often experience in this shoe style (I typically size down so that they don’t flap off my heels while I walk). Plus, they feature an adjustable strap across the foot and come in medium, narrow, and wide styles for a more customized fit. On top of all that, the ballet flats feature 5mm of foam in the insoles, which gives them enough padding for longer-lasting comfort.

The only downside? Some sizes and widths are made-to-order (this is how they’re able to accommodate such a vast size range). So, depending on your size, you might have to wait a couple of months to receive them.

Sizes Available: 3-14 (in medium, narrow, and wide)
Colors: 2 mesh colors (10 colors total)
Material: Leather, mesh
