Have you noticed Selena Gomez has been looking extra good lately? She’s in her fashion era with pink bustier tops, Valentino dresses, and Versace vintage threads. That’s all thanks to stylist Erin Walsh, who also dresses Anne Hathaway and Ashley Park so I trust she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to both red carpet and killer street style. I was excited to see Walsh team up with Beyond Yoga, my favorite brand for everyday leggings. I need new styling ideas!
“I think we can throw out the old rulebook,” Walsh said in a statement, talking about elevating activewear. “Throw on nice shoes, fun jewelry, and shades. You can also mix in dressier pieces, like a blazer or oversized white blouse.” The busy mom wears her Beyond Yoga pieces throughout the day so she needs them to be easily styled throughout the day.
“We all wear so many roles any given day, so it’s nice to give every element of your wardrobe a little elevation to keep your style thread going,” she said. “It will lift your mood in addition to your look.” And there’s good news for those of us who love leggings: Walsh doesn’t see athleisure going anywhere.
“I think leaning into quiet luxury for sure, she said. “It’s one of the ways I can see elevated athleisure having an even bigger impact. We will probably see a lot of monochromatic, easy dressing with pops of posh accessories. Set dressing is a great kind of forever trend that has certainly made it easier for me to pack over the years!” Thank God, because Beyond Yoga leggings are a part of my wardrobe no matter what I’m doing. It’s an LA thing.
They’re the softest pair I’ve found without leaning too into sweatpants. They hold me in without sucking me in. And I’ve washed and dried them dozens of times with no changes in the color or fit.
