BookTok has taken over the vast majority of my For You Page, and I’ll shamelessly admit it. I’ve listened to countless book influencers and their thoughts about Colleen Hoover’s ultra-popular novels, and have been influenced by reviews more than once (let’s just say I bought A Little Life because of the hype around it).
What can I say, I’m hooked by this strange corner of the internet, and I know I’m not the only one. And while I’d love to buy more than a few books at a time to keep up with all that’s happening on BookTok, that’s not realistic for me, or my wallet. We all know how expensive the average paperback is, and don’t even get me started about the price of a hardcover. (In this economy? No, thank you.)
