Denise Richards, Austin Mahone, and Lily Allen are among the many celebrities on OnlyFans. What started as a subscription service popular among sex workers has since expanded to a profitable side gig for celebrities in the movie and music industries to make some extra cash (and then some).
OnlyFans launched in 2016 as a user-generated content platform monetized by subscriptions, tips, and pay-per-view. The site grew exponentially in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic with more than three million registered creators and over 220 million registered users as of 2023. Among those three million creators are a handful of celebrities who have used OnlyFans to boost their careers and finances.
