Hanks met The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Zolciak while filming Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets and the two have been playing it coy about their relationship since. During the show, fans saw plenty of flirty moments between the pair, including a confessional where Chet described Kim as a “MILF.” In a July 2024 interview with People Zolciak refused to confirm the romance.

“Wait and see,” she told the outlet. “Chet’s a great guy. I mean, he’s adorable. We’ve had a lot of incredible moments throughout the season that you’ll see. We’ve had some deep conversations and he’s great… I just talked to Chet yesterday.”

Hanks brought back the conversation during the red-carpet premiere of Running Point. While speaking to People, he was asked if he was still in contact with Zolciak, and said, “I just texted her in the car right now.” Despite that, Hanks claimed the two are just friends. However, when Access Hollywood asked Hanks if Zolciak was his Valentine, he coyly responded, “She should be. It should be.”

And as for what his family, especially his famous father Tom Hanks, knows about the relationship, Chet Hanks told US Weekly at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards that his family was watching Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets. “I think they have been [watching]. I think that they’re traveling right now, but yeah, they’ve been sending me texts and letting me know that they’ve been watching.”

Very little is known about Hanks’ relationship with Tiffany Miles, who is the mother to his only daughter, Michaiah. The girl was born in April 2016. But Hanks has spoken about how fatherhood changed his life, sharing a video on Instagram where he explained, “I want to share something today because it’s about to be shared anyway in the press, which is the fact that I have a daughter,” he said. “She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She’s the reason why I turned my life around and got sober. I’ve been sober for over a year and a half from everything.”
