Alongside Weezer, Ed Sheeran will also make a surprise appearance after not appearing in the original lineup.

Coachella is right around the corner and the desert festival is already ushering a welcoming feeling to festival season. A week prior to the world-famous fest, artists like Charli XCX, Laufey, Tyla and Jennie were already teasing their groundbreaking performances. But, who’s going to be the surprise guests and make the most viral moments of the year?
From a Tupac hologram to Olivia Rodrigo rocking out with No Doubt on stage, Coachella is the place to make history. 2025’s lineup is stacked with legends like Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone, and even more hitmakers like Djo, Missy Elliot, LISA, and more. All of these artists have collaborated with some super celebrities and if they do collaborate on stage with them, it would be everyone’s dream come true.
Surprise appearances don’t even have to take the form of being on stage. Last year, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made headlines by going to the desert festival as a couple, and even BTS’ Jung Kook was in incognito festival mode.
Alongside Weezer, Ed Sheeran will also make a surprise appearance after not appearing in the original lineup.
When the Coachella lineup dropped, the festival surprisingly snuck in Weezer. The “Buddy Holly” musicians will be playing will performing at the festival in the Mojave tent during weekend one.
Both Jennie and Lisa from BLACKPINK are performing in the desert. All four of the members embarked on their respective solo projects this year, but dare we say a Blinkchella part two?
Jelly Roll and Post Malone are embarking on their Big Ass Stadium tour together right after Coachella ends, so it would make sense for the “I Had Some Help” crooner to invite his friend on stage.
The ever-so-elusive Frank Ocean might be returning to Coachella after fans found out about his burner Finsta account @kikiboyyyyyyy, and it has sparked theories of a third album in the works. Several billboards popped up in the desert with the text “KIKI BOY” according to Rolling Stone. Could be a helpful redemption, too, after he canceled his headlining set for Weekend 2 in 2023.
“Telephone” part 2 is calling. During the press cycle for her latest album Mayhem, Lady Gaga announced that there will be a second part to the hit 2009 classic song, and understandably, everyone freaked out. Queen Bey might be prepping for her ginormous Cowboy Carter tour, but we’re holding out hope that she’ll join her friend at the Coachella stage.
We might have to guess whether or not Billie will be at Coachella. The 23-year-old musician might be touring Europe in the latter half of April, but she could make a surprise appearance at Bratchella performing “Guess” with Charli XCX.
Girl, it’s not confusing at all. Lorde just teased new music in a cryptic post, and with Charli reviving Brat Summer for Bratchella, it makes so much sense that these two girlypop musicians would perform together in the desert. We want to see this for all the girls who want to heal out there.
Since Post Malone is headlining, we’ll say it isn’t a stretch to say that Taylor Swift could make a surprise appearance to play their VMA-winning duet “Fortnight.” The singer isn’t a stranger to coming to the festival unannounced. If all else fails, her friend Ed Sheeran could just call Taylor up.
