If you ask us, picking out your concert outfit is just as fun as standing in the crowd, singing your favorite songs along with hundreds of other fans. Whether your country style aesthetic is more bohemian or you love the cool, It Girl streetwear styles we’ve seen pop up on social media (think: Daisy Dukes, cami tanks, knee-high boots, and trucker hats), there are so many different ways to dress for a country concert. The best part? With western wear trending this season, you can totally repurpose your selections for fall.

“Country trends are so strong this fall, and easily transition from concerts into your seasonal rotation,” says celebrity stylist Samantha Brown. “Cowboy boots, western inspired jewelry, belts and cowboy hats are all fair game for the season.”

TL;DR: Best Outfit Picks for Country Concerts

How to Dress for a Country Concert

Putting together an outfit for a country concert is a ton of fun and a great way to mix and match your everyday pieces with some more on-theme western wear. For a chic, fashion-forward approach, “choose one or two elements and mix them in with more neutral clothing,” says Brown. “The western piece should be an accent, so it doesn’t dominante the whole look.”

The weather is still warm in early fall, so going with a more transitional outfit can ensure you’re comfortable and, most importantly, stay cool during the show. “I like to wear my go-to Levi’s denim shorts with a leather belt,” says country music fan Sydney Quinn. She also swears by these budget-friendly black cowboy boots from Amazon and the Reformation Dusk Knit Top in black for a good base layer that works well on its own in warm, outdoor climates, and also looks cute under a barn jacket when the weather cools down.

If you love a more whimsical, bohemian approach to western style country music fan, Arika Griffith has you covered. “My everyday look is a mix of free-spirited charm and Southern tradition,” she explains. “You’ll usually find me in a milkmaid dress—something flowy and feminine—paired with mid-calf boots that I’ve probably worn dancing more times than I can count.” Griffith says she also never leaves home without her personalized cowgirl hat from Rancher Hat Bar. “Whether I’m two-stepping under string lights or just soaking in the music, I want my style to reflect that spirit.”

Accessories and classic denim silhouettes can also make your style feel extra country. “Find a cute and comfy pair of cowboy boots, and pair them with flared or bootcut denim, or even a dress or skirt,” says Sara Wells (aka, @blondehanes), a fashion influencer and stylist. “I love western-inspired graphic tanks or tees, and [styling] with cowgirl accessories.”
