The dancefloor is open again! Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars is just around the corner, and the cast members are trickling in one by one.
The ABC show was renewed for the 34th season and simultaneously announced its first contestant on the show: Robert Irwin. Fan favorite judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough are expected to be whipping out numbers again at the judges’ panel. Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will also return to host. We can also expect alums Sasha Farber, Pasha Pashkov, Daniella Karagach, Jenna Johnson, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart and Alan Berstenbe to be the professional dancers this season.

There’s been buzz on who’s going to put on their dancing shoes and hit the ballroom floor, and even Derek Hough is pushing fans’ buttons by teasing several celebs who could compete.

Alix Earle

Alix Earle was the second contestant to be announced to star on Dancing with the Stars. The podcaster/influencer expressed her excitement, saying that she’s going to vlog the whole experience. “So I’m excited to get back in there and start training,” Earle said.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jennifer Affleck was announced as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars during the Hulu show’s reunion. “Because you women are so adored,” Nick Viall, who hosted the reunion, said, “they are gonna be sending two of you to Dancing With the Stars.”
Jen told her co-star Whitney during the announcement, “I hope you know you’re going down! Just kidding. Bring it on.”

DWTS judge Derek Hough has been teasing the possibility of Taylor Lautner joining Dancing with the Stars season 34. “I’m bored,” Hough wrote in an overlay on TikTok. “Cast someone I’d have no choice but to go from judge back to pro again for. Make it realistic but also go big. Don’t hold back. DWTS casting team is listening.”
One curious commenter wrote, Taylor Lautner himself or his wife Tay.” To which the dancer replied, “This might actually happen.”
The pro-dancer also vouched for him in an interview with Parade. “He would be great,” he said. “He would be fantastic. Competitive, athletic.”
