They had one of the most intriguing relationships of the 2020s. Yung Miami and Diddy dated on and off between 2022 and 2023, and they’ve been protective of one another until his sexual assault allegations came out.
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering. His Los Angeles home was raided and officials found baby oil for his freak-off sessions, which were “elaborate and produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded.” Despite the allegations against the rapper, the City Girls member denied that she knew about the abuse.

“I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience, and I can’t speak on something that I don’t know. I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time,” Yung Miami said in her podcast. “I don’t know that person, and that wasn’t my experience.”

Yung Miami premiered her podcast Caresha, Please with her first guest Diddy. The two confirmed their relationship after rumors swirled in 2022. We date,” he said. “We’re dating. We go on dates. We’re friends. We go to exotic locations. We have great times.”
When Diddy was accepting the Lifetime Acheivement Award at the BET Awards, Yung Miami was spotted in the crowd holding a “Go Papi” sign. Though he didn’t thank his current girlfriend in his speech, he went on Instagram to thank her for her support. “This is one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever done for me!” Diddy wrote in his post. “Thank you Shawty Wop!”
Yung Miami clarified that she’s in an open relationship-type situation with Diddy in an interview with XXL. “We are dating,” she told the magazine. “We single, but we’re dating. People don’t know what dating means. He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating. That’s what I mean when I say we go together. When we’re together, we’re together. We’re having the time of our lives, but we’re still single.”
She continued, “He see other people outside of me and I see people outside of him. I’m young. I’m dating. I’m, you know, having fun. I’m doing me. He’s doing the same thing. I can’t speak for exactly what he doing or who he seeing, but we single and we dating. But we are dating each other, but we single. I think it just went over people’s heads, you know? People just like to take whatever they wanna take from.”
Yung Miami makes an appearance on Diddy’s music video “Gotta Move On (remix).” She applauded her boyfriend’s work, posting on Instagram at the time: ““Congratulations on going #1 @diddy !!! Well deserved I’m so proud of you, your hard work and dedication never go unnoticed KEEP INSPIRING🤍🤍🫶🏾🫶.”
After DJ Akadekmis claimed that Yung Miami was a “side chick” when Diddy had his seventh child Love Sean with another woman, Yung Miami took to social media to dispute the claims. “I’M NOBODY SIDE BITCH LETS JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR ON THIS GOOD MONDAY! I don’t come 2nd to no bitch!” she wrote on X. Diddy won’t even look half of y’all b*****s way!”
Diddy issued a statement a day later saying, ““@yungmiami305 is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today.”
He continued, “So think what you want. But know that if you do something to hurt mine, I’m gonna to come to your house and we’re gonna talk about it like human beings. LOVE.”
In an interview with The Cut, Yung Miami said that she isn’t with Diddy anymore, but they ended things on good terms. “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single. That’s not my man. We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were fucking with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.”
Yung Miami and Diddy attended the 2023 Met Gala together. Lala Anthony asked him about his date of the night and he responded, “She gonna answer that,” he said. “Nah, nah, yes, of course—real bad, we here.”
“Alright, real bad? It’s official, real bad?” she followed up. “I don’t know what you asked me exactly. We definitely go together real bad. … She’s my date for the night, she’s incredible,” he laughed nervously.
Yung Miami told Billboard that she and Diddy connected through their genuine personalities. “I think that you just gotta be yourself, because people, they gravitate towards real,” she explained. “So many people try to be something they not. You just gotta be yourself. I’m just myself. I’m just that bi–h and that’s how you bag a n—a.”
Yung Miami went on her podcast Caresha Please about Diddy’s allegations after his ex Cassie filed a lawsuit against him. “I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience,” she said on Caresha Please. “I can’t speak on something that I don’t know. I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time. I don’t know that person, and that wasn’t my experience.”
She said in the wake of the allegation, ““Nobody called to see how I was doing.” She added: “People feel like I was Diddy’s biggest cheerleader and I made him my brand, and I feel like Diddy was on brand for me. I met him when he was in another era. I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers when he was alive. He was getting the [MTV VMA] Global Icon Award, the [BET] Lifetime Achievement Award, the key to [New York] city.”
She later said that fans have been “trying to crucify” her for remaining silent. “I was just celebrating when the world was celebrating him, so why am I being crucified, or why am I being separated?”
Yung Miami was leaving Saucy Santana’s birthday bash at Atlanta’s Opium Nightclub on October 5, 2024 when a fan approached her with a bottle of baby oil. She immediately rolled up the window and said “Boy, you playin’,” Her body guard asked the fan to leave. Federal officials seized 1,000 bottles of baby oil at the rapper’s Los Angeles home in March 2024.
