I have a confession to make: I’m no longer infatuated with Zara. The affordable, yet elevated pieces I had once loved from the brand now seem to be few and far between. Sure, I’ll still pop into the store for a last-minute outfit for an event or if I’m eager to try a hyper-trendy item, but as far as my everyday wardrobe is concerned, I’ve moved on. So where do you go when Zara is no longer cutting it? I found my answer from TikTok’s minimalist cool girls: Dissh. The female-led Australian fashion brand kept popping up on my FYP and Instagram feed—after seeing the well-tailored linen pieces over and over again, I finally decided to place an order and give the clothing brand a try. If you’ve been eager to try the brand yourself but have yet to place an order, I present to you: my full DISSH clothing review.

For a little background, DISSH is an online-only retailer if you’re shopping in the United States. I’m the type of person who likes to try clothing on in-store before committing to a purchase, especially if the item is over $100. Since DISSH is operated in Australia and sent via DHL, I was nervous about placing an order and dealing with potential returns. After placing two orders this summer and returning one piece, I can confidently say that the process was seamless, and easy, and will not prevent me from shopping the brand’s site in the future.

For my first purchase from DISSH, I ordered a strapless striped linen maxi dress. The piece was exactly what I was in search of for my European summer wardrobe. It can easily be dressed up or down, is comfortable and lightweight, and I don’t have to wear a bra with it. Now that’s a dream dress.

I wasn’t sure what to expect quality-wise from DISSH’s pieces but was hoping that the quality would reflect the brand’s elevated price point. When I tried the dress on, I wasn’t disappointed! I would say that the garment’s quality is better than what you’d find at a retailer like Zara or Aritzia and could be compared to the construction of pieces from a store like Cos.

I was also pleased to discover that, unlike Zara, the items run true to size. I actually ended up returning an item that I had sized up in because it was too big. Upon returning the extra dress, I discovered that DISSH has an instant refund system for returns. Once I filled out the return form, I was immediately refunded on my card with the good-faith system that I would be promptly sending the item back. This system definitely made me feel more confident in ordering other items in the future.

For my second DISSH order, I purchased a knit maxi skirt with a matching mesh knit top. I was, once again, drawn to the versatility of the pieces and loved that I could mix and match them with other items in my wardrobe. The ordering process was just as easy as my first go-around and confirmed the consistency in DISSH’s quality.

When I was raving about my pieces to my StyleCaster co-workers, I discovered that I wasn’t the only fan of the brand in the office.

Sophie Hanson, our Entertainment Editor, enthusiastically shared her thoughts on the brand, “I might be biased (as an Australian reviewing an Australian brand, most definitely biased), but I’ve bought several things from DISSH over the last couple of years—multiple pairs of rigid denim jeans, a linen suit, a dress—and the two things I keep coming back to are the fit and quality. Lots of natural fabrics like cotton and linen with low-key sophisticated cuts. Everything I own from DISSH makes me feel and look really put together with very little effort, which I love. It doesn’t get much better than that! “

Tiffany Tse, our Affiliate Partnerships Manager gave her review, “I was so skeptical about sizing but was pleasantly surprised with how well everything fit. I found the size chart to be pretty accurate, which isn’t always the case.”
