ENHYPEN members
BELIFT LAB

ENHYPEN is the extraordinaire 4th-gen K-pop group that’s capturing hearts internationally with their vampire-coded visuals and their genre-defying music. Before they shot into fame, most of the members were trainees who worked diligently to become the next big star.

The group was formed through the popular South Korean survival TV show I-LAND, produced by BELIFT Lab, formerly a joint venture between HYBE (home to BTS, TXT, and Seventeen) and CJ ENM, and MNET. 23 young trainees competed for a place in the seven-member group and the final lineup consisted of Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. ENHYPEN debuted on November 30, 2020, with their first mini-album Border: Day One. They’re set to release their highly anticipated second full-length album Romance: Untold on July 12, 2024.

There was something very eye-catching about all the members before they were trainees. “We’re always eager to discover people’s latent potential and help them explore their dreams of becoming an artist,” Big Hit Entertainment casting head Hong Seung Woo told Weverse Magazine about discovering some of the ENHYPEN members. Here’s where all the members were before they debuted.

How were the ENHYPEN members discovered?
