Yeehaw! It’s considered the most successful dating show in the world, but for some reason, Farmer Wants a Wife didn’t get the happy ending these country folks wanted.
The premise is that farmers—who find it difficult to find spouses because of their isolating professions—are introduced to women from the city as potential life partners. “In a trend that’s been sweeping America over the last few years, there’s been a migration from city centers to suburban and rural locales, and with that, love follows,” a press release from FOX reads.

The first season marks the first time after the series jumped from The CW to Fox, and all of these couples didn’t end up with the one. Revisit how they announced their breakups below.

Allen Foster revealed that he and Khelsi aren’t together anymore in an Instagram post, “Farmer Wants a Wife didn’t end how I’d hope as far as a relationship, however, I have gained friendships and had opportunities that will last a lifetime! I truly am a blessed man to have been apart of this journey!”

Hunter Grayson confirmed that he was not with Meghan Baker in an Instagram post poem. “It’s unfortunate to say that Meghan and I have gone separate ways. We gave it our best shot, but it proved so much more than we thought She wants to be in Tennessee, and I can’t sell my farm to leave. I wish her all the best, and a life full of success. Our story has no end, she will always be a dear friend. I’m so thankful for our journey, I’ll be grateful all my life, But we can’t love for likes, ‘Cause this farmer wants a wife.”

Landon Heaton and Ashley Larea announced that they split in June 18, 2023, but revealed that they split a month after filming. Larea cited “the pressure of things beyond my control took a toll” and ultimately they decided to go their separate ways in January.
Heaton revealed that “unforeseen circumstances” made him move back home which made him not see Larea for a while, and the two lost their connection afterward. The two remain cordial

Ryan Black and Haley Ramirez didn’t make it to the finale together. Black asked Haley after he initially rejected her, but she ended up saying no.
The horse trainer and breeder talked to Lancaster Farming about his time on the show. “I came into it with an open heart. Naturally, you kind of put your guard up, trying to protect your own heart even though you want to be completely genuine as well. It’s a fine line,” he said. “One of the biggest things I got to take from it was growth. There was no losses.”
