Here’s How Gisele Bündchen’s Kids Really Feel About Her Boyfriend—& the Father of Their New Sibling

Bündchen’s oldest child, son Benjamin Rein Brady, is now fourteen years old. He was born on December 8th, 2009 at the house Bündchen shared with her then-husband and father of her two oldest kids, Tom Brady. At the time, Brady was the QB for the New England Patriots.

During Brady’s Man in the Arena ESPN series, Bündchen spoke about her decision to have a home birth, sharing, “It was a home birth and it was funny because he didn’t want me to have a home birth. He was like, ‘Absolutely not,’ and I was like, ‘Excuse me, you don’t get to choose that, it’s my body.’ 

Bündchen‘s mother Vania was there to support her from the beginning, the former model shared with Brazil’s Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper. “She gave me great support. I couldn’t ask God for more support than this.”

And though Brady spent a lot of time on the football field during his marriage to Bündchen, now that they’re divorced they take great care to still be a team when it comes to their kids. “We’re not playing against each other,” Bündchen said in her 2023 Vanity Fair cover story. “We are a team and that’s beautiful. I look back and I have no regrets. I loved every bit of it.”

It explains how Benjamin has become such a well-rounded kid, who his parents have nothing but praise for. In 2023, Brady revealed Benjamin was especially talented musically, telling PEOPLE, “Although I would definitely say I’m not musically inclined at all, my kids are, which I love. It’s interesting, my son plays by ear too,” he shared, adding that his kids both sing and play the piano. “He doesn’t like looking at notes, so he hears something and tries to play it. He’s very talented.”

Benjamin also plays football, and though he is wearing the same iconic jersey number 12 his father wore, he doesn’t seem to want to follow in his father’s footsteps. “He told me this year, ‘Dad, I’m playing football.’ And I was like, ‘What do you wanna play?’ And he was like, ‘Tight end. I wanna be like Gronk!’ ” Brady shared in his SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go! in 2023.

At the time, Bündchen also marveled at her son playing football. “He just started, and his first game was so nice,” she told PEOPLE in September of 2023. “It was nice to go because I had all the little friends come to me and be like, ‘Oh my God, I love Benny. I love Vivi. They’re so nice. He helped me with this.’ “

Vivian Lake, 11

Vivian Lake, Bündchen and Brady’s daughter, was born on Dec. 5, 2012, in Boston. The girl, who looks a lot like her mother, nonetheless has her own very distinct personality. Bündchen shared with PEOPLE in 2023 that Vivian wants to be a “professional horseback rider” and is “obsessed” with the sport.

She also loves cats, with Brady telling PEOPLE in June 2023 that, “My daughter and I kind of bonded a lot over cats.” And though Bündchen shared that her daughter doesn’t seem to have a great interest in fashion yet, she is her mother’s daughter. She did, after all, recreate one of her mother’s iconic photoshoots for Instagram.

Vivian is also said to enjoy sports and has been photographed striking a yoga pose with her mom.

In March 2024, Bündchen discussed raising teenagers and pre-teens on The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, saying “I mean, it’s amazing having teenagers and pre-teens, but…” 

She went on to add that she’s had to alter her communication style now that her kids are getting older. “The most important thing [is] you have to make time to have conversations, because, I think, you know, they are changing, every day is a whole new world,” Bündchen said. “And it’s so important to kind of talk, it’s a huge thing.”

A source confirmed that Bündchen was expecting her third child with boyfriend Joaquim Valente. There’s been no confirmation regarding how far along Bündchen is, but she is said to be at least 5 or 6 months along. The couple is reportedly expecting til the birth to learn the baby’s gender.

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” the source told PEOPLE.

Brady, the father of Bündchen’s two oldest kids was reportedly informed of the pregnancy before it was announced.
