Now that I’ve graduated, it’s time to bid adieu to bandeaus that double as headbands and crop tops that are more crop than top. Personally, I’ve been looking all over for nighttime outfits that don’t scream “I just left the office” but do show “I know what an office is.” It’s a hard line finding something sexy, but not skimpy, classy but not formal, fancy but not frumpy, et cetera.
Maybe I’m beginning to sound a bit too much like America Ferrera in her Barbie Movie monologue, but really, finding the perfect going out tops post-grad is a journey. However, after doing some research, I’ve found a few new autumnal favorites that not only have potential for layering, but make the transition into colder weather (and adult life!) something to get excited about.
As we move out of our college towns and into the working world, let these post-grad going out tops be your trusty sidekick as you duck into more cozy wine bars than crowded house parties.
