Comfort food in the form of reality TV is finally back for its 12th collection. The Great British Baking Show (or Bake Off if you’re anywhere else but the US) airs in the UK on Tuesday nights and arrives on Netflix on Fridays. If you want to destroy your sense of surprise and wonder totally, you can check out spoilers ahead of time.
The 2024 Baking Show season features a new batch of amateur bakers: Andy, Christiaan, Dylan, Georgie, Gill, Hazel, Illiyin, Jeff, John, Mike, Nelly, and Sumayah. They join judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, and hosts/mischief makers, Noel Fielding and a returning Alison Hammond. “It’s so much nicer coming back into the fold, it felt like a family seeing everybody and it was so nice,” she told Best magazine. “I felt more comfortable slipping straight back into it. We do have a laugh.”

“Because Jeff couldn’t be here, we decided not to send anybody home,” Prue said. “There’s also the fact that I have never seen such a bunch of great bakers—I didn’t want to lose any of them.” Noel and Alison teased that there could be two eliminations next week, though.
