Winter is coming. Here’s how Capricorn season 2023 will affect each zodiac sign as we get ready to wrap up 2023. As the end of the year draws near, Capricorn season will encourage a “work hard, play hard” attitude. You’ll be handling things like a boss in no time during this responsible, ambitious astrological period!

The winter solstice will coincide with the beginning of Capricorn season, which will begin when the sun enters Capricorn on December 21 at 10:27 p.m. ET. As the winter solstice unfolds , this will be the shortest day of the year. Take advantage of this day by resting. Using this time to relax will help you be more productive when you get down to business throughout the remainder of Capricorn season.

Shortly after Capricorn season begins, there will be a moment of clarity when Mercury retrograde in Capricorn aligns with the sun in Capricorn on December 22. This extra special transit is called a “cazimi”, which means that the planet Mercury will be in the heart of the sun. When this occurs, it could illuminate some significant lessons and information during the Mercury retrograde thus far. Pay attention to what comes up throughout this day since it could help you understand your Mercury retrograde lessons.

Once the cazimi commences, Mercury retrograde will regress into Sagittarius on December 23 and will remain there until Mercury stations direct on January 1, 2024. From now until then, the main thing to watch out for will be travel issues since Sagittarius is associated with long-distance and foreign travel. Don’t be surprised if your passport suddenly goes missing before your big trip, you miss your connecting flight, or lose something while traveling. When something goes awry, your best bet is to find the humor in your situation.

Luckily, you can tweak your holiday plans one last time when the sun in Capricorn harmonizes with Saturn in Pisces on December 24. Think of this as an opportunity to go over your itinerary. You can review what you’ll bring to dinner, coordinating where you’ll be, and everything in between.

Expect interesting relationship dynamics to play out on Christmas Day. On one hand, Christmas might be full of Hallmark movie moments since love goddess Venus in Scorpio will create magic with fantastical Neptune in Pisces. On the other hand, there might be some fires to put out given that assertive Mars in Sagittarius will trine the North Node in Aries and sextile South Node in Libra. Try to lean into the magic and away from antagonism on Christmas Day.

The final lunar cycle of 2023 will wrap up on December 26 during the full moon in Cancer, which will occur at 4 degrees. It’ll be a fitting full moon for the holidays since the Cancerian energy will emphasize the importance of family. Surround yourself with the people you love and express gratitude for them during this nostalgic lunation.

However, the lunar sentiment will be somewhat short-lived since there might be a lapse in communication when Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius forms a dizzying square with Neptune in Pisces on December 27. An aggravating undertone will likely be present since Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius will work with aggressive Mars in Sagittarius.

The frustration won’t stop there given that Mars in Sagittarius will form a disarming square with Neptune in Pisces on December 28. Between these two days, you will have to be mindful of your tone, turf, and timing since you can only control how you choose to react in a moment of frustration.

At least there will be a more hopeful outlook on prospects for romance and abundance when Venus enters Sagittarius on December 29. The fiery Venusian energy might be what we all need to feel excited for the new year. You may feel more confident about your love life, financial growth, and goals for self-improvement during Venus in Sagittarius.

Just before 2023 ends, another retrograde will conclude when Jupiter stations direct in Taurus on December 30, which will occur at 5 degrees. Luck may have turned on a dime over these past four months thanks to Jupiter retrograde. While this may have halted financial growth and overall abundance, you could have had a change of heart about what you truly value. Now that Jupiter is direct and just in time for 2024, you can use this expansive energy to capitalize on opportunities that align with your value system.

Capricorns season begins on December 21 at 10:27 p.m. ET and ends on January 20, 2024 at 9:07 a.m. ET.

Happy New Year! We’ll start the new year off right since Mercury will finally station direct in Sagittarius on January 1, 2024, which will occur at 22 degrees. The initial two weeks following Mercury stationing direct will be an excellent time to regroup from the retrograde period itself. You can think of this as a gift from the universe since you can go into 2024 with less baggage and a clear mind.

You’ll be more than ready to get the ball rolling since Mars will enter Capricorn on January 4. According to traditional astrology, Mars in Capricorn is “exalted”, which means that this is a strong energy to work with. This Martian transit will be timely since you can use the action-oriented Mars in Capricorn to get jump-started on your New Year’s resolutions.

However, you could be caught between the past and the future when the sun in Capricorn squares both the South Node in Libra and the North Node in Aries on January 10. When both fateful squares arise, this will allude to a stuck point that you need to acknowledge. Let go of any relationships or mementos from past connections that no longer serve you. Don’t let anyone hold you back this year!

If you’re still waiting to set your intentions, then do so during the first new moon of 2024, which takes place on January 11 and occurs at 20 degrees Capricorn. The austere energy of Capricorn will encourage you to be serious about what you want to accomplish. In particular, this could be an excellent opportunity to set goals around your career path.

A sobering tone will be more pronounced when the cosmic messenger, Mercury, enters Capricorn on January 13. Discussions may feel formal now that Mercury is direct in Capricorn. It will be so much easier to plan accordingly and have structured, purposeful conversations during this Mercurial transit.

Dreams might come true, but not without hard work! As the sun in Capricorn comes together with magical Neptune in Pisces on January 15, you may feel cautiously optimistic about your odds. Believe in your ability to pursue something seemingly unimaginable if you are willing to put in the work.

It might be worthwhile to clarify your potential and ongoing commitments sooner rather than later before Venus in Sagittarius comes together in a confusing square with Neptune in Pisces on January 19. The haziness of this transit suggests that you may need to hash out the details instead of looking at the bigger picture. If not, you may miss something pertinent, like a red flag in a romantic partner or the fine print in an agreement.

Winter will be in full swing by the time Capricorn season ends, which will happen when the sun enters Aquarius on January 20, 2024, at 9:07 a.m. ET. Although it’ll be sad to see Capricorn season go, there will be so many weird and wonderful things to look forward to in this upcoming Aquarius season.
