James Kennedy & Ally Lewber Claimed They Were ‘the Best They’ve Ever Been’ Days Before His Domestic Violence Arrest—Are They Still Together?

January 2022: Lewber and Kennedy confirm their relationship

The couple confirmed they were dating during Part 2 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, adding that they’d started dating six weeks after he ended his engagement to Rachel Leviss. “I think everyone does process breakups differently. For me, it was enough time,” he said, with Lewber adding that the two certainly discussed the subject. “We definitely both went into it planning to take things slow. I mean, we did jump into it, but a lot of conversations were had about it.”

March 2022: Lewber and Kennedy vacation together

“Only the most magical trip I’ve ever experienced in my entire life, here’s a little slide show of todays adventure,” Kennedy said alongside a slideshow of his and Lewber’s Tulum vacation. “Share the love people! and the positivity! cause life’s too short 😉🌊✨🌙.”

February 2023: Lewber appears on Vanderpump Rules

Lewber tells Us Weekly they are still going strong, and calls Kennedy a romantic. “He’s the romantic one. It’s harder for me to say [I love you]. He wears his heart on his sleeve more than I do, but I do [love him]. He knows that.”

During the Season 10 premiere of the show, Lewber also starts appearing regularly on Vanderpump Rules, which gives fans a little insight into how the relationship started.

December 2023: Lewber and Kennedy Release a single together

What’s next level in a romantic relationship? Releasing a single together might just be it. “It’s been an incredible experience collabing with Station Little on this,” James said to Us Weekly of “I Believe in You,” adding that “Ally and I have been working on a lot of music this year, and this is just a great way to add to the collection that we’re going to be releasing soon.”

“This song is all about following your dreams, which is a message that I’m very passionate about,” Ally added. “I’m from Ohio and moved to L.A. with some big dreams, and I know [James] agrees and had some big dreams as well.”

December 8, 2024: Lewber says they’re “the best they’ve ever been”

“We’ve been the best that we’ve ever been. And I think it probably has to do with the fact that we haven’t been filming in a while,” Lewber told the New York Post about her relationship with Kennedy, adding that she was looking forward to a new chapter without Vanderpump Rules. “I’m excited to just kind of let our relationship almost breathe and not have the pressure [of filming].”

December 11, 2024: Kennedy is arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence

James Kennedy was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and later released on a $20,000 bail. There was no confirmation as to whether Lewber was the woman with him when the incident occurred, but she did appear at the Windsor Pre-New Year’s Eve party at the Short Stories Hotel in Los Angeles on December 12, looking fabulous and seemingly in great spirits.
