James Kennedy’s girlfriend and dating history

Considering the misdemeanor domestic violence arrest, this could change soon, but up until a few days ago, Kennedy was happily dating Lewber, who even told the New York Post “We’ve been the best that we’ve ever been. And I think it probably has to do with the fact that we haven’t been filming in a while,” just a few days ago. The two started dating in 2022, and Lewber went on to appear on the last season of Vanderpump Rules alongside Kennedy, giving fans a glimpse not just of their relationship, but how they got together.

PEOPLE reported that the two attended a party together the night of the incident, but did not spend much time together. “He was acting so erratic, running back and forth to the bar and body-checking people along the way,” a source told the outlet. “He appeared inebriated. Spent the evening mostly alone but when he did speak to people, he appeared irritated and rude.”

Kennedy and Leviss met at a New Year’s Party in 2016 and the rest, as they say, is history. They went Instagram official on Valentine’s Day of 2017 and she came on as a guest on Season 5 of Vanderpump Rules. “She’s just the most beautiful soul I’ve ever met in my life. I’m blushing now,” James said to The Daily Dish in March 2017. “She’s just a beautiful soul inside and out, and I couldn’t be luckier.”

He would go on to propose at a Coachella-themed party in May 2021, but by the end of 2021, the pair were done. “After these five wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement,” they said in a joint statement on Instagram at the time. “We love each other very much, but we aren’t in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive”

Kennedy was introduced to Vanderpump Rules fans because of Doute, one of the original members of the cast. And the two certainly had their share of drama early on. It all started pretty nice, with Doute saying, “He’s really good to me.” And he was, until in Season 4, Kennedy explained in a confessional he’d cheated on Doute and then lied to her about it. “I feel bad about lying to Kristen, but, at the same time, I had good sex with Jenna. I don’t regret what happened with her,” he shared. “But I love Kristen, don’t get me wrong.”

Did he understand it was all on camera? It, of course, didn’t take long for the two to break up. And when Doute found out Kennedy had been arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, she had a very clear response ‘FINALLY’ she wrote as she reshared a post from a Bravo fan page that showed the headline of a story that revealed Kennedy had been arrested. Pretty unequivocal.
