Jamie Lynn Spears did not attend her sister’s wedding to Sam Asghari. In fact, no one in the Spears family was in attendance. Lynne Spears posted a comment on Britney’s carousel of images of her wedding on June 10, 2022. “You look radiant and so happy! Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special!” she wrote. “I am soooo happy for you! I love you!” Jamie Lynn, for her part, did not comment but instead liked the post of her sister’s wedding.

Jamie Lynn Spears’ relationship with her sister Britney has been a rocky one, but it seems like things are on the mend.

After the end of her conservatorship, Britney slammed her whole family including Jamie Lynn and her mother Lynne Spears. Britney’s father was her conservator for 13 years until a judge overturned it on November 13, 2021. Her mother tried to make amends in their relationship after the drama, but Britney wasn’t too forgiving according to a source who spoke to Page Six in November 2021. The source said, “Britney didn’t even let Lynne into her house. She is furious with her. Lynne tried over a number of days to try to visit, but Britney just shut her down.”

In early 2022, she also issued her sister cease and desist letter. Britney’s lawyer Matthew Rosengart—who represented her when Britney’s conservatorship was terminated in December 2021—issued a cease-and-desist letter on behalf of the pop star over her sister’s “defamatory” and “ill-timed” book, Things I Should Have Said.

“We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her,” the letter read. “Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.”

Weeks before her divorce, Britney posted a video of her dancing on a boat on Instagram while briefly mentioning Jamie Lynn. “It was nice to visit my sister on set last week !!! I’ve missed you guys so much !!! Loyal girls stay home but it’s so nice to visit family 😌 !!! This is me and Hesam’s first vacation in a year !!! I’m so so blessed and l’m gonna play the queen of hearts now 😜 !!! Normally that’s Spanish right mamma 😏 !!! Should I do French from now on ??? Latin ??? Portuguese or German ??? Nahh I dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️ because I don’t speak English 😂😂😂 !!!”

The mention comes weeks after Britney reunited with her mother Lynne Spears for the first time after her conservatorship ended. “My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time … with family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds !!! And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT !!! I love 💕 you so much !!! Psss… I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards !!!”
