Are Jared and Blue still together after Big Brother?
Are Jared and Blue still together after Big Brother? It’s not really certain whether Jared and Blue continued their relationship outside of the house.
When the relationship was bubbling up, Big Brother fans saw that Jared wished his ex-girlfriend Mackenzie a “Happy Birthday” without context and Blue felt a little betrayed. Jared clarified to Us Weekly that he was “really open with Blue about just coming out of a seven-year-long relationship.”
“It was tough because just jumping out of a relationship into the house, I told myself that I wasn’t going to fall for any kind of showmance,” he said. “But Blue was somebody that I really could confide in and she made it really comfortable for me and made me understand that it’s OK to get out of a breakup and essentially fall for somebody.”
He continued and was relieved about Blue’s feelings about the situation. “After being in such a long relationship, it’s hard to feel as if you can never do it again or you will [never] fall for somebody again. And like I said, it was a fresh breakup for me after seven years. So, I was just glad that Blue understood and was able to kind of help me through that situation.”
As for the ex-girlfriend, he still wants to keep that friendship. “I told Kenzie, regardless of our breakup and everything that happened, I always look at her as a great friend,” Jared told Kat Dunn in an interview post-eviction. “We built a lot of bonds and shared a lot of experiences together as friends, and regardless of our relationship and us not being able to be in a romantic relationship, I still look at her as a great friend. She taught me a lot about life. That isn’t going to change regardless of my relationship status moving forward. I still do want to make sure that I keep a friendship with her regardless through everything.”
Jared was hesitant about his stance on a showmance. “I actually don’t have a girlfriend outside of here,” Jared confessed to Entertainment Tonight. “I was really adamant at expressing that I had just gotten out of a long-term relationship, a seven-year relationship and it was really tough because it was really fresh for me.”
“I told myself going in that I would not get into a showmance, just because you don’t want to jump from thing to thing and still be thinking about other people,” he continued. “I told Blue about my situation and was really open and honest about it just so she understood why I felt certain ways… It was tough, but do I regret it? Not really, no. Not at all. That’s just the honest truth about it.”
Blue, who got eliminated in Week 12 with America Lopez (who was also in a showmance with Cory Wurtenberger) revealed to Entertainment Weekly she’ll leave it up to fate about the future of their relationship. “I’m not sure. I haven’t seen Jared for a long time now, so I don’t really even know where he’s at, how he’s doing — what a do, baby? But I can’t wait to see him and, hopefully, we’ll see after that.”
