John Miller (2018 – Now)

Shortly before finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, Garner started dating John Miller, the chairman and CEO of Cali Group, in 2018. In 2020, In Touch Weekly reported that the couple had split as Los Angeles went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they were seen together and rekindled their relationship the following year.

“They have a very special relationship. It’s never been the easiest one though since they both have families,” a source told People in April 2024. “They took a long break from dating, but Jen is very happy that they are back together.”

As for the possibility of marriage, Garner said that now’s not the time but she didn’t rule it out completely. “I don’t know that marriage would need to be a part … I mean I definitely don’t think that I’ll be single forever,” she told People in March 2021. “But this is not the time.” Miller is also a parent. The entrepreneur shares two children with his ex-wife, violinist Caroline Campbell.

Ben Affleck (2004 – 2015)

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck first met on the set of the 2001 film Pearl Harbor. They became close friends after co-starring in Daredevil. Garner married actor Scott Foley, while Affleck was engaged to Jennifer Lopez. After their respective relationships ended, the actors were spotted attending Game 1 of the 2004 World Series together.

Garner and Affleck dated for nine months, and Affleck asked her to marry him while celebrating Garner’s 33rd birthday in April 2005. The couple wed in a low-key wedding in Turks and Caicos. Reps for the actors confirmed at the time that Garner was pregnant. “They’re married and they’re expecting their first child,” their reps said in a statement, per People.

Michael Vartan (2003 – 2004)

Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan were romantically linked after co-starring in the 2000s action thriller series Alias. The pair briefly dated from 2003 to 2004. Even after their breakup, they remained close friends over the years.

In November 2023, Garner celebrated her ex-beau’s birthday by posting a throwback photo for his 55th birthday. “I can’t remember why I was Bavarian, but I do know today is your birthday. I hope it’s a great one, Michael! XX S. Bristow,” the actress penned in the caption.

In 2011, Vartan went on to marry Lauren Skaar, a real estate broker the actor met in a Whole Foods parking lot in 2009. Unfortunately, they divorced shortly after in 2014 citing irreconcilable differences.

Scott Foley (1998 – 2003)

The 13 Going on 30 star was formerly married to Scandal actor Scott Foley. They first crossed paths when Garner appeared on Foley’s show Felicity in 1998. “She played my girlfriend on Felicity. We met on the show and… we hit it off instantly and [we were] soon dating,” Foley recalled of meeting Garner on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy in September 2021.

After two years of dating, the couple said “I do” in 2000. Unfortunately, after less than three years of marriage, Garner and Foley broke things off, citing irreconcilable differences in the divorce files. At the time, Garner told InStyle the couple were “victims of Hollywood.”

Foley went on to marry actress Marika Domińczyk in 2007. The couple are parents to three children.
