When it comes to Kathy Hilton’s skincare routine, everything is hunky-dory. The iconic socialite and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has, as expected, a glamorous regimen—complete with glitzy staples like Baccarat Rouge 540, her “signature” scent, and Knesko Skin’s Gold Repair Collagen Face Mask. “I go through boxes of those,” Hilton tells StyleCaster.
What did surprise me, though, was one of her go-to beauty hacks. She swears by lemons. “I use Wonderful Seedless Lemons as an exfoliator and toner,” Hilton says. “When I’m done, I repurpose them in my water.” Lemons contain Vitamin C and antioxidants, which can benefit the skin—but if you’re not careful, applying citrus directly to your face can cause irritation. Still, Hilton is full of other skincare secrets, from breathwork sessions and sauna visits to NAD+ therapy.
Specifically, she gets Niagen IV, an infusion designed to boost cellular energy and support healthy aging. “It’s a key part of maintaining my glow and staying vibrant every day,” she says. NAD+ (short for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the body, known for its role in energy production and overall cellular health. “I take Tru Niagen’s 1000mg capsules every morning, and I try to do the Niagen+ IV every week or every 10 days. It’s something I really look forward to.” According to Hilton, the benefits go beyond skin deep. “My nails are stronger, my hair feels healthier and more resilient. It keeps me balanced and helps me tackle my busy days with clarity and energy.”
And while Hilton has always lived life in the spotlight—she is, after all, matriarch to one of the most famous families in pop culture—she admits her skincare routine has evolved since joining Housewives alongside sister Kyle Richards. “I try to get facials as much as possible now,” she says. “I’ve been getting Sinclair’s Préime DermaFacial and it really makes a difference. I also cannot say enough good things about dermaplaning—it makes putting on makeup so much smoother.” She and her daughters (Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton Rothschild) also “love” red light therapy and use their LYMA lasers “religiously.”
Of course, no routine is perfect. When asked about any beauty regrets, Hilton doesn’t hesitate: “I regret not using SPF,” she says. But she’s found a safer solution. “I’ve been using Sontse’s tanning mousse. It gives my legs and arms a beautiful glow without the dangers of sun exposure.”
At the end of the day, Hilton’s beauty philosophy boils down to three words she repeats like a mantra: “Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.”
