They’re easily one of our favorite couples and Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes’ CMT photos prove exactly why, a year after their hard launch at the same awards show. The couple took to the red carpet on April 7, 2024, as she took on hosting duties for the last time.
“It’s my final year, yeah,” Ballerini confirmed to Variety ahead of the awards show. “I’ve hosted or co-hosted this show for four years now, and I’ve gotten to host a lot of different kinds of ventures over the last decade — and I really enjoy it. It was the first thing that I did outside of music really, that allowed me to ask myself the question: What else? Like, what else can I do? And I’m ready to ask myself that question again, and I really want to give myself the space to see what else there is. Never say never — I will never say that I won’t come do this again. I love it. I just am excited to see what else I can do.”
In July 2023, Ballerini opened up to StyleCaster about her relationship with the Outer Banks star Stokes, sliding into his Instagram DMs six months beforehand. While they initially kept their relationship private, they’ve since spoken publicly about finding each other.
“The thing that we’ve decided, and to each their own, is when you’re with someone that you feel secure with and that you’re proud to be with, why not share it?” she told StyleCaster. “He’s also a Virgo; we’re both Labrador Retrievers in human form. It doesn’t take much conversation to be on the same page. It’s been half a year and it’s been great.”
