He’s ready to perform on America’s biggest stage again. Kendrick Lamar is ready to perform at the LIX Super Bowl Halftime showand we’re expecting him to perform all his top hits…and yes that includes “Not Like Us” on repeat.
Lamar announced his headlining spot in a short video. “My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I will be performing at Super Bowl 59. Will you be pulling up? I hope so,” the rapper said. “You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship — no round twos.” The latter statement refers to his beef with Drake that’s been the hot topic of the rap community this past summer. It’s also a clap back at Drake when he rapped “Big as the Super Bowl” in his diss track “First Person Shooter,” but the Canadian rapper hasn’t performed at the event at all.

There’s something about hearing “Pour up (Drank)” in the opening lines of “Swimming Pools” that brings a lot of nostalgia. It’s one of Kendrick’s earliest hits from good kid, m.A.A.d city, and he’s been performing it pretty recently in his performances.
With a hypnotizing bassline, Kendrick will absolutely wow the audience with “King Kunta” with the familiar beat.

Another banger from GNX.
It’s always magical when SZA and Kendrick lend their voices in a single track. This will for sure be the mellowest track on the setlist.
Another standout from GNX.
This is arguably the best song on his surprise drop album GNX. It’s a great follow up to clarify his stance as one of rap’s royalty.
Pretty much a deep cut, but Kendrick will make a really great stance with this.
