Summertime, and the living is not easy. Since so much has happened in Cancer season already, you might be a bit nervous to see how Leo season 2025 will affect each zodiac sign. Keep in mind that the cosmic energy sometimes has to get worse before it gets better as you move through this overly theatrical period.

Drama will be well underway by the time the sun enters Leo on July 22 at 9:29 a.m. ET. Although most Leo seasons pack a ton of heat, this one will be a bit spicier than expected. Multiple planets have already stationed retrograde, which will set the tone for Leo season. It might be better to acknowledge when something has to change or when you could do better instead of proceeding with bravado, ego, and pride. Don’t let your stubbornness, vanity, and arrogance get in the way of making serious life changes this Leo season. Have confidence in your skills and talents to do better.

This Leo season promises to be unlike any other, as the sun meets with Uranus in Gemini on July 23. Wacky Uranus encourages the luminary to step out of its comfort zone. You may feel unexpectedly inspired to do something radical. Channel your ingenuity, authenticity, and rebelliousness through whatever you use to express yourself. It might be your clothes, make-up, hair, or nails. Regardless, let this be your muse for change.

Clashes in close connections may unexpectedly erupt when Venus in Gemini argues with Mars in Virgo on July 23. A seemingly easygoing conversation may become an unforeseen battleground. You and the other party may not see eye to eye over differences in opinions, values, and decisions. There won’t be much opportunity for resolution, since both Venus and Mars answer to Mercury retrograde. You may have a better chance at rectifying this situation after Mercury retrograde is over.

Who or what inspires you to do your best? Consider what fuels your fire when the new moon in Leo demands your attention on July 24, at 3:11 p.m. ET. Ascending at 2 degrees, the new moon in Leo marks the beginning of a new six-month cycle. You may feel more confident than usual if you feel strongly about a passion close to your heart. This lunar cycle could help you become more comfortable expressing yourself, honoring your desires, and fulfilling your creative purpose.

Get real, as the sun in Leo forms a trine with Saturn retrograde and Neptune retrograde—both in Aries—on July 24. Whatever delusion of grandeur you had will cease to exist. Someone’s mask may fall off in real-time, or your daydreams may not align with your situation. Regardless of what it is, you will have to be more realistic than idealistic. But this doesn’t mean you have to be pessimistic. Manage your expectations to deter false hope and an unrealistic narrative in the future.

You may not know who you are once Pluto retrograde in Aquarius unravels the sun in Leo on July 25. Looking into any literal or metaphorical mirror might send you spiraling today. Whatever self-perception you had will shatter, leaving you with a raw, unfiltered outlook of yourself and your life. This is when you might find yourself being dragged to hell and back, especially as Pluto rules over the underworld and all things subterranean. Accepting this newfound reality won’t be easy, so take your time.

A more cautious approach to finance, style, and romance may unfold once Venus enters Cancer on July 30. The lunar-ruled love goddess will be more sensitive about what it desires moving forward. Venus in Cancer inspires an intuitive approach to aesthetics, asking you to listen to your heart as you find your personal style. Money might be a touchy topic, so you may want to steer clear of intense financial discussions and decisions for the time being. Lastly, love will be heartfelt or turbulent depending on the mood.

What do you know to be true? Clarity arrives during the Mercury retrograde cazimi on July 31. A cazimi occurs when a planet enters the “heart of the sun,” or rather, when a planet forms an exact conjunction with the sun. This will bring incredible clarity that strikes true, especially as the weeks leading up to this point may have left you with more questions than answers. Thankfully, you could finally see something materializing from this retrograde when the regressing cosmic messenger enters the sun’s territory. For better or worse, you’ll finally understand why this retrograde is going the way it is.

Be realistic about your love life once Neptune and Saturn retrograde confronts Venus in Cancer on August 1. You might have accidentally deluded yourself into believing something that doesn’t accurately represent the current state of your romantic affairs. Unfortunately, this may come with a harsh dose of reality that may feel humiliating and shameful. Instead of beating yourself up for it, look at this as your lesson to be more realistic and cautious next time.

You may feel depleted when Mars enters Libra on August 6. Mars is at its weakest state while exiled in Libra. Motivating yourself to do literally anything will feel like a chore. And that’s assuming you will be decisive enough to take action. The next few weeks will feel lackluster and stressful, as you consider every possible option. Don’t be surprised if you don’t get as much as you expected, since your libido will be at an all-time low.

Actions will have immediate if unexpected consequences, as Mars in Libra meets with Uranus in Gemini and Saturn retrograde in Aries on August 8. Something you do or don’t do won’t turn out as intended. The situation may go sideways, causing you to feel panicked and unsure of how to fix it. The best thing you can do is assume responsibility for your part to play. Hold yourself accountable, apologize, and make amends. Don’t wait to address the elephant in the room, because it’ll be easier to smooth things over the sooner you acknowledge the issue.

Leo season begins on July 22 and ends on August 22.

Don’t beat around the bush when Mars in Libra awkwardly opposes Neptune retrograde in Aries on August 9. Timing is of the essence if there’s something you need to do, say, or confirm. Whatever has eluded you from being decisive will dissipate, leaving the truth of the matter behind. In other words, you don’t have any excuses left to use or anything else to account for. It’s time to be direct by committing to the actions you wish to take.

Try and then try again, as Pluto retrograde in Aquarius catalyzes Mars in Libra on August 10. You may want to give up if something doesn’t go as planned. Although it would be easier to walk away, this might cause you to wonder what could have been if you didn’t just try a little harder. Let this be your sign to keep going even if it feels uncomfortable and awkward to do so. You never know what might work if you don’t try.

Anything goes once Uranus in Gemini embraces Saturn retrograde in Aries on August 11. This will be a truly unique cosmic event, so pay attention to the shifting energy in the days leading up to this planetary engagement. Radical shifts in conversation may rebuke authority figures, duties, and rules. Many may feel an urge to cut ties and break free once Uranus and Saturn retrograde meet. It might be a split-second decision, so don’t second-guess yourself if you know you’re ready for a change of pace.

A part of your life comes full circle on August 9, as the full moon in Aquarius dazzles the sky at 3:55 a.m. ET. Culminating at 17 degrees, the full moon in Aquarius represents the end of a cycle that began six months earlier. You may notice that friendship, collaboration, humanitarian efforts, and individuality will come up throughout the lunation. Hopefully, this full moon affirms your place in this world and among those who appreciate your authenticity.

The second Mercury retrograde comes to an end on August 11, as the cosmic messenger stations direct at 4 degrees. Allow yourself to feel relieved, because there will be fewer issues surrounding communication, travel, decisions, and technology over the next few weeks. However, you may have some lingering issues to rectify during the post-shadow period. Do your best to meet each challenge and address each issue head-on from now until August 25.

Mercury retrograde began on July 18 and comes to an end on August 11.

Serendipity will find you toward the end of Leo season when the minor benefic and the major benefic align on August 12. Jupiter in Cancer and Venus in Cancer will create immense abundance stemming from good luck. This wonderful cosmic energy may beckon more fortune, hope, positivity, love, and care. Happy tears will probably flow, too. Regardless of what comes your way, let this cosmic energy remind you how beautiful life can be.

Fate will intervene, as Venus in Cancer conspires with the North Node in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo on August 15. Whatever you were up in the air over will be decided one way or another. Very little may have to happen for you to feel confident in what you want to do moving forward. Trust your gut and ignore your anxiety as you proceed with your desired commitments.

The dog days of summer will slowly phase out, as the sun leaves Leo for Virgo on August 22 at 4:33 p.m. ET. Although summer will be ending soon, Virgo season promises an ending you will never forget.
