Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari Contract: How Much He Makes Compared To Mercedes

In one of the biggest bombshells in the Formula 1 world, news of Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari contract set the industry ablaze. After all, he’s been a Mercedes babygirl for the past 17 years and had an 11-year-long partnership with the works team. On February 1, 2024, Hamilton and Mercedes confirmed that they would part ways at the end of the 2024 season.

Hamilton is a British racing driver who was born on January 7, 1985, in Hertfordshire, England. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Hamilton began his Formula One career with McLaren in 2007, but it wouldn’t be until he joined Mercedes in 2013 that he would see huge success.

By the end of the 2021 season, Hamilton had won multiple Formula One World Championships, tying with Michael Schumacher for the record of seven championships. He is known for his exceptional speed, skill, and consistency on the track, as well as for his activism and philanthropy off the track.

In the late part of 2023, speculation began to mount as to whether he would stay with Mercedes after a rough season the year prior. “We struggled last year and everyone had their head in their hands, working together to lift each other up, weekend in, weekend out,” he told Robb Report. “Some weekends, you’re like, ‘Is it really going to happen?’ But we keep chipping away and we’ve had podiums. But of course, we want to get that win.”

But he’s still passionate about the sport. “I still love racing. More than ever. I always feel I can be better. When I hit a limit, I love the challenge of figuring out how to strengthen my body to get past that. It’s that idea you can get better at everything. So I’m going to be here for a good chunk of time. You’re definitely going to get tired of me.” With all that said, here’s what we know about Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari contract.
