Meet the Love Is Blind Couples For Season 6 & Who Got Engaged in The Pods

Jeremy & Laura 

Jeremy, who works in Intralogistics, and Laura, an account director, got engaged. “I don’t know if I’m exactly Laura’s type,” he said before they saw each other in person. “But I think that we have such a genuine connection, that I could care less.” 

Before he proposed, Jeremy talked about statistics, saying that there are about 8 billion people on the planet and the odds he and Laura would find each other were the equivalent of winning the lottery multiple times and getting struck by lightning. 

“With all that said, the statistics, the decisions that had to be made … this started off as, like, a fun game. And then it progressively got more and more serious. And now we’re sitting here at this point, making life decisions. I decided last night that you were the person for me,” he revealed. “Laura, I would love more than anything to have you as my wife,” he said. “I want you here as my forever person.” 

She wiped away tears and answered, “I would love to marry you.”

Johnny & Amy

Johnny, an account executive, got engaged to Amy, an e-commerce retail specialist. Like many others on the show, Amy said Johnny wasn’t her type normally. “I honestly wouldn’t have approached somebody that looked like him in the real world, because I always had my fixations on ethnic men,” she said. “Honestly, it wouldn’t have mattered what he looked like. I truly felt like I fell in love with his heart and soul.”

 Johnny said that he needed Amy to promise him two things. He acknowledged his imperfections and said, “If anything ever comes up where anything happens at all, I need you to tell me, so I can correct it and never do it again.” 

She agreed that she wants the same from him. “The second thing, I want to be lying next to you when I’m 90 years old, laughing and smiling and old and hairy and fat and gross,” he continued. “I want to make sure that we are us and nobody else. And even though there is gonna be outside influences, it’s me and you.” Amy promised to stand by him. “We’re a team and we will go by this together. We’ll figure it out our own way,” she assured him.  

Brittany & Kenneth 

Brittany, a senior client partner, got engaged to Kenneth, a middle school principal. They bonded over similar values and spiritual leanings. “She loves God. When Brittany shared that, I was like, ‘I want to spend more time with you,’” he said. 

In episode three, Brittany got into her pod to find a single red rose and a bouquet of sunflowers waiting for her. “This experience, it allowed me to find you,” Kenneth told her. “I have no doubt in my mind that you are the one who I am supposed to be with.” He popped the question and she said yes.

Amber “AD” & Clay

Amber Desiree, aka  “AD,” is a real estate broker and she got engaged to Clay, who’s in enterprise sales and is an entrepreneur. They bonded over their struggle with dating apps and Clay admitted he was ready to settle down.

He said, “I’d be lying to you if I said the physical isn’t important, but I just have a feeling that AD’s definitely going to be a good-looking girl,” assuming the experiment wouldn’t work for him. “At the end of the day, I do love that girl behind those closed doors.”

To propose, he read a Bible verse to her: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to Him, and He will always make your path straight. We are a partnership. We are a team. The most dynamic team, I would say,” he gushed before kneeling. “But I need to know, will you take my lovely hand in marriage and walk this life with me and rock out with your boy, Clay?” he asked. “Oh, my gosh!” she exclaimed. “Yes, absolutely, 100 percent.” 

Jimmy & Chelsea 

Jimmy, a software salesman, got engaged to Chelsea, an event planner and flight attendant. Chelsea said she was attracted to both Trevor and Jimmy, but eventually landed on the latter as her preferred partner.

But it nearly didn’t work out. “I almost went home this morning. Not anything against you, just every bit of this experiment is draining emotionally,” Jimmy told her. “I don’t wanna hear that…I don’t wanna hear that you were about to go home, that would have sucked,” an upset Chelsea told him. She later told the camera, “Maybe I wasn’t what he was expecting. I don’t want him to wake up one morning and decide that he screwed up with his decision.”

Jimmy later said, “She definitely lied to me on some of how she looked. Chelsea told me she looked like Megan Fox. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter, I’m very attracted to her, I can work with that.” Apparently, he can, because he popped the question.

“Chelsea, I love you. I love every bit of every conversation we’ve ever had. I love the way you love me. I love the way you make me feel,” he told her. “I always leave with a smile on my face and more happy than when you found me,” he continued. “I’m so excited to start a life with you and grow a family and build a future together.”

He asked her to marry him, and she bent down on her knees, shaking. “I will 1000% marry you,” a thrilled Chelsea said.
