Interestingly, there’s a pretty strong Aquarius pack this season. True to her Aquarius sun, Hannah isn’t afraid to stand out as the youngest female contestant. Her individuality leads her to fellow Aquarius, Nick D. These two play off each other’s quirks, eccentricities, and authenticity. Although Ashley isn’t necessarily involved in that Aquarius dynamic, her Aquarius sun helps her fly a little more under the radar. However, Ashley’s ride-or-die energy is true to the loyal Aquarius spirit.

Pisces: Taylor

Sweet Pisces is undeniably romantic, empathetic, and compassionate. As a water sign, Pisces takes sharing feelings and creating special moments seriously. As a Pisces sun, Taylor’s kind and loving energy truly shone when she read her love letter to Garrett in the pods. Her emotional maturity is evident with the way she expresses herself, and how she feels about Garrett.

Being too alike could go either way. Aquarius and Aquarius are conjunct, suggesting there’s no degree of difference. On one hand, same-sign pairings could be incredibly validating. Aquarius may feel like no other zodiac sign quite gets them like another Aquarius does. However, same-sign couples could also struggle to appreciate their likeness. Aquarius and Aquarius might become annoyed with one another if either Aquarius struggles with their individuality. Honestly, this pair has a 50/50 shot of making it.

Their chemistry significantly dwindles following the disastrous duck incident and Hannah’s list of Nick’s red flags in Mexico. Honestly, these Aquarians might not have what it takes to last. They might be better off as friends instead of spouses.

Monica & Stephen

What an interesting pair. Gemini and Cancer are semi-sextile, meaning they’re one sign apart and share nothing in common. Since there isn’t an astrological foundation to connect on, Gemini and Cancer might have a hard time understanding each other. Gemini’s quick wit and flightiness might irk conservative Cancer. Meanwhile, Cancer’s moodiness and emotional approach might unnerve detached Gemini. Needless to say, Cancer and Gemini have their work cut out for them if they want to make their connection last.

This couple is incredibly dynamic. Stephen’s cheating confession and ancestry reveal pulled curious Monica in. Monica’s non-judgemental attitude allowed for her and Stephen to grow closer. Despite appearing casual, Monica’s changeable Gemini energy could be swayed if she gets the ick. While the first post-pod reveal went well, Mexico seems to be where this couple was tested. Their difference in communication styles irks Monica, who calls Stephen out for being too chatty. If Stephen can learn to talk with this Gemini lady rather than at her, then this issue could be resolved. However, the teasers for the upcoming episodes imply that Monica and Stephen might have more to work on than just their communication.

Alexandra & Tim

Similar to the previous couple, Leo and Virgo are another semi-sextile duo. Semisextile means that the zodiac signs are one sign apart, so Leo and Virgo don’t have anything in common to create an astrological foundation to build upon. Unfortunately, Virgo’s eye for detail may come across as nitpicky and critical to passionate Leo. Likewise, Leo’s self-expression may appear dramatic and overbearing to demure Virgo. While these two could arguably work, Virgo and Leo will have a lot to do to make it work between them.

In the pods, Alex and Tim seemed to play off each other’s communication skills. Tim and Alex seemed comfortable confiding in each other right away, like sharing their familial struggles. Despite having strong communication in their relationship, Tim’s “I got the dog in me” comments didn’t pan over well during the in-person reveal. By the end of the first six episodes, Tim and Alex’s relationship appeared to be in a tough spot. Their off-screen fighting flipped everything, causing Tim and Alex to question their engagement. Hopefully, more will be revealed in the upcoming episodes, but given the astrology, I would say that this Virgo-Leo duo may not last.

Marissa & Ramses

Relationships take hard work, especially for Aries and Cancer. These two signs form a square, implying tension and combustion. Aries and Cancer are both cardinal signs, so they know what it takes to be a leader. However, they differ in their leadership capabilities. Aries is a self-focused leader, so Cancer might be in awe of this quality until Cancer feels forgotten. Cancer is an emotionally fueled leader, so Aries might resonate with this until Cancer’s mood swings are too much to handle. If they can learn to appreciate each other’s leadership skills, then this couple could work.

At first glance, it seems like this Aries-Cancer duo has what it takes to make their connection last. Ramses and Marissa handle more emotionally evolved conversations with ease, like their outlook on familial roles and masculinity. They appear to be equally comfortable with each other’s strong personalities. Thanks to Marissa asking the hard-hitting questions in the pods, Ramses revealed he has a Leo moon and Leo rising. Given his Leo rising, Marissa’s Aries sun would fall in his ninth house. Marissa will likely encourage Ramses to get out of his comfort zone, especially if he’s open to Marissa being a teacher to him. Hopefully, this astro-loving ram and spicy crab can say “I do” at the altar.

Brittany & Leo

Cancer and Aries could work if they meet in the middle. They share the square aspect, resulting in a pressurized connection. Headstrong Aries might come across as brash and impulsive to the receptive crab. Nostalgic Cancer could appear as clingy and brooding to the fierce ram. Both Cancer and Aries are highly emotional, but differ in expressing their reactivity.  If they cannot learn each other’s moods then Cancer and Aries may struggle with having a volatile connection.

At first, Brittany and Leo appeared to be a match made in heaven while in the pods. Both individuals came across as shallow, since Brittany and Leo were more vocal about their financial expectations and material assets. Despite being on the same superficial page, it became obvious that Brittany and Leo weren’t compatible post-reveal. Although Leo was more than ecstatic to kiss Brittany, fans didn’t miss Brittany’s obvious recoil and her inability to say “I love you”. While I and many others would have loved to see this dynamic play out, LIB producers excluded their storyline post-engagement. True to the incompatibility between their zodiac signs, Brittany and Leo have reportedly broken up.
