Where’s Maria now after The Bachelor Season 28?
Where’s Maria from The Bachelor 2024? After she was sent home in Week 8 of The Bachelor Season 28, Maria shared an Instagram post thanking Bachelor Nation fans for supporting despite her drama with other contestants. “Wow. What an experience this was! I have nothing but gratitude and love for everyone involved. That’s including the amazing people I’ve met along the way,” she captioned a series of photos of her on The Bachelor Season 28. “The love and support I’ve received has been incredible, I am truly in awe of it and it doesn’t go unnoticed. I can’t express enough how much it means to me.”
Maria also went on to thank Joey for sending her home, which she called the “right decision.” Maria’s post came amid fan backlash toward Rachel Nance, who made it to the final three over her. “I want to thank my family and friends who have supported me through this journey, I want to thank Joey, who made the right decision and lastly, myself for staying true to who I am,” she wrote. “All 3 woman equally deserve to be there and are there for a reason. Don’t send hate to anyone because of this!! I’ve personally grown so much from this it’s insane. I will continue to grow as I go. I want to thank everyone who has been watching and experiencing this process with me, you have seen me through it all. The good, the bad and the ugly. If you can take one thing from watching me it would be to always be yourself and know it’s ok to not always fit the mold.”
She concluded her post, “You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but you’ll be someone’s shot of tequila🤝 This experience was something I’ll never forget. I didn’t get the man but I got the most amazing support behind me and for that I will be just fine. You all amaze me🫡 #thebachelor🌹.”
Following Maria’s elimination, Rachel, who some fans believed didn’t have as strong of a connection with Joey as Maria, responded to the backlash toward her moving forward. “Please be kind everyone. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all. I’m still a person behind the screen,” she wrote. “Again I appreciate those sending me love,” she wrote in an Instagram Story at the time.
Season 20 Bachelorette Charity Lawson, who was Joey’s Bachelorette and sent him home in the final two, also defended Rachel in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter.) “the comments to rachel after hometowns are extremely weird… 1. it’s a show relax 2. you don’t have to tear someone else down to support the person you are rooting for (it’s giving mean girl energy, the same energy y’all was wilding about earlier this season),” Charity tweeted.
She continued in an Instagram Story, “all 4 girls are amazing and deserve to be there but yall need to go outside and touch grass for a little bit – maybe challenge and journal a little bit about your internal biases?”
Maria, for her part, hasn’t posted much since she was sent home on The Bachelor. However, fans suspected in March 2024 that she dated actor Nicholas Braun, who is best known for playing Cousin Greg on HBO’s Succession, after he “liked” an Instagram post of her in a bikini. “Nicholas Braun (cousin Greg) liked Maria’s posts,” a Reddit user titled a discussion with a screenshot of Braun’s “like.” The user continued, “Could you imagine the king of succession and the queen of Joey’s season ending up together? Here for it!”
Another user wrote, “What if Maria becomes the next Tyler C and dates someone actually famous? Lol I’d love that.” One more user added, “LOL can’t blame anyone for trying to shoot their shot now.”
