Will there be a Maxton Hall season 2?

Maxton Hall has been renewed for a second season, according to Deadline. The decision came days after the show premiered on Prime Video. The main stars of the show Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung are excited for the potential for another season.

“In the second book, it’s really dark for James,” Hardung told TV Insider about the adaptation. “We’ve talked about his mom dying, and he’s really going through those dark places.” He adds, “As much as that is great stuff to reenact, I feel so much more fear than joy thinking about if we get lucky to get a second season to actually have to portray that because that would just entail so much pain to go through.”

Herbig-Matten is excited to show Ruby “fighting for her dream” and “staying with this ambitious goal and fighting for Oxford and not changing for him [James] and helps herself and sets boundaries.”

“I hope that the message of the show really holds up,” Hardung continued. “When there’s love, there’s nothing in between that can stop them. They can overcome those obstacles that they have and the circumstances to actually be able to be together.”

When is Maxton Hall season 2 coming out?

The release date of Maxton Hall season 2 hasn’t been announced yet. However, with the speedy process of Amazon renewing the show, the release date might be closer than we expect. Season 2 can come out as early as summer 2025.

Maxton Hall debuted as the number one spot on the Prime Video Charts in more than 120 countries and territories and is top three in more than 50 countries including the U.S., UK, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Canada and South Africa. So with all that popularity, it’s safe to say that fans would want the next season stat.

Since Maxton Hall season 1 is based on Mona Kasten’s Save Me, it’s natural to conclude that season 2 will be based on the second book Save You.

Save You focuses on Ruby and James’ relationship as it begins to crumble after his mother’s death. The two can’t escape each other, but with Ruby’s future up in the air after pictures of her and Mr. Sutton were sent to the principal. She got accepted to her dream school of Oxford, but with an expulsion, she can’t complete her last year.
