There is nothing better than a good pair of jeans. When you have quality denim, you have a wardrobe staple. A piece of clothing that is versatile and long-lasting. Good jeans can take you from day to night, make you feel confident, and put together. As a fashion editor with a denim obsession, I believe that everyone should have a denim collection. This capsule should include a dark wash, light wash, a loose fit, straight leg, and something fun. While doing a bit of personal trend research for my own denim rotation, I was captivated not by new women’s offerings but men’s. 

In recent seasons, menswear has become more experimental and exciting. Designers are using bold colors, thrilling textures, and out-of-the-box silhouettes to tell us there’s more to men’s fashion than suits, T-shirts, and sneakers. This is especially true when it comes to the denim category. The spring/summer 2025 and fall/winter 2025 runways are filled with jeans that incorporate patterns, statement details, as well as sharp stitching. Take the KidSuper show, for example. One model strutted down the catwalk in a pair of jorts that featured patchwork illustrations and a frayed hem. The design took the look from basic to bold. I can picture this with a simple white T-shirt and Birkenstocks on vacation or with a chunky knit and sneakers for a fall date night. 

If you’re more interested in a timeless look, labels like Sacai and Kenzo gave us updated classics in the form of crisp jackets and cuffed pants. The idea here is that denim should be dynamic—even if it’s in a fail-proof style.
