Who’s the Next Golden Bachelorette? The 2 Celebrities Not From Mel’s Season Who Are in the Running

Peg

As one of Mel’s final two contestants, Peg Munson, a 62-year-old Retired Firefighter and Bomb Tech from Las Vegas, Nevada, is a frontrunner to be the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette, with many fans calling for ABC to make the decision. “I vote Peg but I don’t think Mel would be able to keep up with her,” a user wrote on Facebook. Another user commented, “Peg would be a great bachelorette.” One more user added, “It probably will be Peg. That’s my guess.” Another user commented, “I hope Peg is the next Golden Bachelorette!! She will keep things lively!” However, there is one thing that may prevent Peg from becoming the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette, according to Reality Steve. 

Deb

Debbie “Deb” Siebers, a 65-year-old Fitness Professional from Little Chute, Washington, is also another contender to be the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette after she was eliminated in the final three. “Debbie for the next golden bachelorette,” a user wrote on Facebook. Another user commented, “I hope Debbie.” One more user added, “The Top 3 ladies were always my top 3. Too bad about Debbie but Mel’s just not meant to be. Hopefully we will see her back as the GB but if not I’m sure she will find love with the right person at the right time. She’s a beautiful woman. Peg may be too much for him but I love her energy and she looks great. I’m think Cindy may be just right … we will see 😊”

Deb, for her part, threw her hat in the ring to be the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette in an interview with Parade. “If [producers] asked me to do it, I would definitely do it,” Debbie said. “How could I pass up that opportunity? I mean, I am ready for love. I have put myself out there, and I’m gonna keep going. I don’t want to sit back now and hope, what? Somebody’s gonna slide into my DMs or something? I would definitely do [the senior Bachelorette]. I know how challenging it would be. But as I always [have] said, no risk, no reward,” she said. 

When asked what she would bring to the show, Deb responded, “I think I have so many more sides to me that Mel never got to see. I am very funny. I love to dance and sing. I’m also very introspective, and I’ve got a very deep side, and I’ve got a spiritual side. But I’ve got a very fun-loving side. I’m such a motivator. For my whole life, I’ve done that. I’ve helped other people lose weight and get healthy. But I [also] think there’s that small town girl in me that I’ve never lost.”

She added, “I have had challenges that are so numerous to mention. I had a very tough childhood and it made me grow up fast and it made me move out very young at 18 and I moved to L.A. at 21.” Compared to her cast mates, Deb also has the most reality TV experience, having starred as a fitness coach on the 2004 reality show The Swan. 

Cindy

As another of Mel’s final two contestants, Cindy Cullers, a 60-year-old Retired Biomedical Engineer from Austin, Texas, is another frontrunner to become the Golden Bachelorette. “Debbie is trouble for the producers, already claiming sexual harassment! Cindy will make a bigger splash,” a user wrote. Another user commented, “desperate on a t v show …for aman… Cindy.” One more user added, “Team Cindy.”

Kathy Griffin

After ABC announced The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul as the Season 22 Bachelorette, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette to be a celebrity not from Bachelor Nation. Comedian Kathy Griffin pitched herself for the role on an episode of Celebrity Weakest Link in October 2025. “I am 64, single and sexy,” she said. “So I would like to be the next Golden Bachelorette.” 

Host Jane Lynch, however, suggested a different dating show for Griffin. “Fox has a show called Farmer Wants a Wife and I could probably talk to people here if you are interested in being on a farm for your golden years,” she said, to which Griffin responded, “I would like to be hoed.”

Luann de Lesseps

Another non-Bachelor Nation celebrity who has pitched themselves to be the Golden Bachelorette is The Real Housewives of New York City alum Luann de Lesseps. “It’s perfect for me,” she told Life & Style in April 2024, adding that she wanted to “manifest” her next partner. “Who could charm the socks off the Countess?” She added of dating, “I hated being a teenager. Because I was taller than all the boys. I was a little chubby. I was just awkward. All my friends had boyfriends but I didn’t. I didn’t have that confidence as a teenager… If you don’t think you’re great, nobody else will.” What could prevent Luann from becoming the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette, however, is her contract with NBCUniversal. Recently, Luann starred on Season 1 of Bravo’s Love Hotel, which saw her and other Housewives date from a cast of men. Luann has also been featured on other NBCUniversal shows, including RHONY, The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, and Crappy Lake, so it’s possible that there could be a contract conflict if she appeared on an ABC show, unlike Taylor Frankie Paul. (Both ABC and Hulu, which The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives airs on, are owned by Disney.)

Amy

Amy Kaplan, a 63-year-old Momager from Short Hills, New Jersey, has also thrown her hat into the ring to be the Season 2 Golden Bachelorette. While Amy went home early in Week 3, fans should remember that Season 1 Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos also left The Golden Bachelor Season 1 early and was still selected to be the lead. 

“Well, if they call me, I would definitely answer,” Amy told Us Weekly. “I have to say that that would be more of a better, let’s say, scene of events for me because I would be the one they are picking and they would have to compete for me.” She continued, “Of course, I would only be with them if there was a connection. And I would not have to chase after a man. I mean, how backwards is that? I’ve never chased after a man in my life. They need to come to me. I mean, it’s ridiculous.”

As for what she’s looking for, Amy told the magazine that she wants a “connection on every level.” “I mean, I’m not asking for too much, am I?” she said. “I need to connect emotionally, physically, spiritually, intellectually. We have to have similar values. He has to have depth and character and soul. Am I asking for too much? He needs to be neat and warm and kind and snuggly.”

She continued, “To me, it’s like growing old with someone and doing the simple things like snuggling on a fluffy rug to the adventurous and glamorous like luxury travel — but the day to day stuff has got to be there. You’re in a supermarket with your guy and you just like shopping the aisles together. Or, snuggling on a rug and you’re like, ‘Ah, this is it. It’s home.’”
