At the 2016 premiere of “High Strung,” Galitzine was still very early in what would become a bustling film career. The actor channeled Savile Row inspiration for the occasion with a windowpane check jacket, white shirt, burgundy knit tie, black trousers and mahogany monk strap shoes. Sometimes, to take an outfit beyond minimalism, it just needs something as approachable as a classic pattern jacket. Galitzine was also on trend for the moment with the knit tie, as a way to adapt a classic men’s staple to the fashion of the moment.

For the 2016 Giffoni Film Festival, Galitzine took a minimalist casual meets formal approach to style, wearing a white T-shirt with a navy blue sport coat, medium wash jeans, and low-top Converse Chuck Taylors. The standout accessory of his outfit, though, was a red and white cubed pattern pocket square. The accessory immediately drew attention to it as a subtle pop of color to his neutral outfit. While there are often only so many options for men to accessorize, a good pocket square can turn into a statement piece with a tailored jacket.

Galitzine tends to keep his style more classic with a twist, but there are moments when he decides to go bolder. When he attended a talk for his 2019 Netflix series “Chambers,” Galitzine wore a red, pink, yellow and green floral pattern short-sleeve shirt paired with classic black jeans. The shirt was a statement piece, drawing the eye to it before anything else. In the middle of spring, he proved that florals for spring can be groundbreaking after all. The shirt deviated from the usual classic floral patterns with its oversized flower prints connected by intertwining green stems for a geometric effect.
For the Love of a Leather Jacket

In January 2023, at Fendi’s runway show, the luxury brand began soft-launching Galitzine, before they later named him their first global menswear ambassador. Before they declared their love for the Hollywood star, Fendi invited him to their fall 2023 show, where they dressed him in an oversized black leather jacket, a light blue shirt, dark grey trousers, glossy black shoes, and most notably, a chocolate brown crossbody bag. The man bag has become one of the ultimate accessories of the last two years, with Hollywood It Boys like Galitzine and Elordi wearing them.
Feeling Blue

Around the announcement of him making history as Fendi’s first global menswear ambassador, Galitzine attended the brand’s menswear show in Florence. For the occasion, he was decked out in a head-to-toe blue-centric ensemble, including a matching blue and white block pattern jacket and pants, coordinating blue and white shoes, and he continued his streak of crossbody bags with one in complementary blue. To top off his cool guy look, he accessorized with reflective sunglasses. When wearing one color head-to-toe, many people go for a monochromatic approach, but this outfit was centered around one color, focusing more on a blue-and-white colorblock situation.

After being photographed wearing many of Fendi’s leather offerings, Galitzine decided it was time to switch it up for the brand’s fall 2023 runway show. For that season, he attended wearing a minimalist white top, black trousers, pointy-toe black boots, but most notably a gray suede safari-style jacket with a belt loop collar. He accessorized the look with black square-frame sunglasses. For the fall and winter seasons, that one statement piece of outerwear can elevate an entire outfit.
Met Gala Monday

The Super Bowl of fashion, otherwise known as the Met Gala, invited Galitzine respectfully after the stellar past year his career saw. This year’s theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” while the dress code was “The Garden of Time,” meaning everyone leaned heavily on florals. At first glance, Galitzine’s look was a classic black-and-white black-tie ensemble custom designed by Fendi. However, upon closer inspection, the jacket featured subtle floral embroidery, with divinity in the details for this look. Small details such as this can help take a classic look to a new level of high fashion.
When at Wimbledon

Like so many of his British film colleagues, Galitzine attended Wimbledon this year. He took a semi-formal approach to style, wearing a sportcoat, light blue shirt, medium-wash jeans, and black boots. In an attempt to seem slightly incognito, he also wore a pair of round-frame black sunglasses. There’s always a question of how formal one wants to look at Wimbledon, with some taking a very casual approach to style, and others sometimes wearing full three-piece suits. Galitzine’s look is a way to combine both aesthetics so he wasn’t overdressed or underdressed.
