*NSYNC’s reaction to Britney Spears’ book
*NSYNC’s reacted to Britney Spears’ book by supporting Justin Timberlake. Sources who are familiar with the situation told TMZ that the *NSYNC members “have nothing but love for Justin, and they’re supporting him through all the harsh criticism due to The Woman in Me.”
Britney wrote about her relationship with Justin in the book and noted how *NSYNC viewed themselves in the public sphere. “They were white boys, but they loved hip-hop. To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group,” she wrote. “*NSYNC hung out with black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in.”
She provided an example of when she went out on a date with the “SexyBack” singer. “One day J and I were in New York, going to parts of town I’d never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards,” The “Womanizer” singer recalled. “J got all excited and said, so loud, ‘Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiine! What’s up, homie?’”
