Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is reportedly doing a very big stunt at the Olympics Closing Ceremony. According to Deadline, the Mission Impossible actor will be literally “dropping in” to the ceremonies when Paris hands over LA Mayor Karen Bass the Olympic Flag for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The actor is currently filming the eighth Mission Impossible movie in Europe.
Sources close to Closing Ceremony planners told TMZ that “the plan for the upcoming Closing Ceremony involves Tom repelling down from the top of Stade de France… landing on the stadium field and carrying the official Olympic flag.” The broadcast will cut to previously recorded footage, which begins with two minutes of “Tom’s journey on an airplane… flying with the Olympic flag from France to Los Angeles, where he skydives down to the Hollywood sign.”
The footage will also show “Tom passing the flag to other Olympians — including a cyclist, skateboarder, and volleyball player — as they make their way around the next host city for the Summer Games.” If that isn’t commitment to Hollywood, we don’t know what is.
