Nicki Nicole (2023-2024)
Peso Pluma and Argentine singer Nicki Nicole first crossed paths when they collaborated on the remix of his hit song “Por Las Noches” in February 2023. At first, these two played it cool and kept fans guessing about their relationship status. But by November 2023, they seemingly confirmed their romance by sharing a very public kiss at one of Nicki’s concerts.
Less than a year later, however, the pair had called it quits. Their relationship ended in February 2024 amid quite some controversy. Nicki unfollowed Peso Pluma on Instagram and removed their photos together after a video surfaced on social media showing him apparently holding hands with another woman in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend.
Nicki addressed the situation on Instagram, writing on her Story, “Respect is a necessary part of love. What is loved, is respected. What is respected, is cared for. When you are not cared for and there is no respect, I don’t stay there. I leave.” She went on to reveal that she found out about his apparent dishonesty the same way everyone else did—on social media. “It’s with so much pain that I found out the same way you all did,” she wrote to her fans. “Thank you for the love you are sending me.”
In an interview with Billboard published the very next month, Nicki went on to confirm their breakup, telling the magazine, “The truth is that I felt that everything was so public that I couldn’t have done it any other way. People already knew it and it was uncontrollable.” She also acknowledged the support from her fans during this time. “What has healed me the most these days are the people, my fans,” she told Billboard. “I received many messages from women congratulating me on the message I sent.”
