Princess Charlotte Now & Then: Her New Photo Is a ‘Carbon Copy’ of This Parent

On May 2, 2024, as she celebrated her 9th birthday, we couldn’t help but look through Princess Charlotte’s now and then photos to see just how much she’s grown up to look like her dad. Charlotte is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s second child, and King Charles’ second grandchild. She is currently third in line for the throne.
Lottie, as she’s affectionately known, was born in 2015 in the same hospital as her brother George; St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana in honor of King Charles, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince William’s mother Princess Diana. She also attends Lambrook, a preparatory school in Berkshire with her brothers.

A source told Us Weekly that Charlotte acts like her older brother and is super close with her parents. “Mummy definitely has a shadow,” the source said. “Wherever Kate goes, so does Charlotte. It’s adorable. As she’s home a lot more than George, Charlotte spends time in the kitchen ‘helping’ with things. Whenever the housekeeper or Kate is preparing food, Charlotte needs her own little toy set by her side to imitate.”
At school, the children are popular and well-regarded for their friendly nature. “They’re lovely kids,” a source told Hello! magazine in 2024. “Charlotte is so kind and friendly and the other children adore her. She’s kind to the kids in younger years and she’s very popular. George seems like a nice boy, too, and little Louis just has so much energy.”
Upon celebrating her 9th birthday, fans couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between Charlotte and her dad. On the official Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account, comments included that Charlotte “[William’s] mini all the way” and another calling her “a carbon copy of her daddy ❤️.”
