It’s nearly Super Bowl time, which means everyone is looking forward to seeing if their favorite player made the Pro Bowl roster. And one Super Bowl team has more starters than any other.

The Pro Bowl is an annual all-star game in the National Football League, originally beginning in 1939 as the All-Star Game, becoming what it’s known as today in 1951. It typically takes place at the end of the NFL season, after the regular season, and before the Super Bowl. The game features a matchup between the best players from the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). Players are selected for the Pro Bowl through a combination of fan voting, coaches, and players’ votes.

The game is a showcase of the league’s top talent, and it provides an opportunity for fans to see their favorite players from different teams playing together on the same squad. While the Pro Bowl is a prestigious honor for NFL players, it is also criticized by some for its lack of competitiveness, as players often avoid risking injury by not playing at full intensity. It is flag, not contact, football after all. Despite this, the Pro Bowl remains a popular event for football fans, and it serves as a celebration of the sport’s top performers.

In 2024, eight NFL teams send at least five players to Orlando, where the flag football game will be played on February 4 at Camping World Stadium. The league-leading San Francisco 49ers boast nine Pro Bowlers (and eight starters): quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, tight end George Kittle, offensive tackle Trent Williams, defensive end Nick Bosa, defensive lineman Javon Hargrave, linebacker Fred Warner and cornerback Charvarius Ward.

The Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys have seven Pro Bowlers; Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles have six, the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and Detroit Lions have five apiece. Without further ado, here’s the Pro Bowl roster 2024.
