Are Riah and Trey still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? Jeriah “Riah” Nelson and Treyvon “Trey” Brunson were two of five original couples on Season 2 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Riah, a 25-year-old managing server, was the Ultimatum Receiver, while Trey, a 29-year-old area manager at Paper Mill, was the Ultimatum Giver.
At The Choice, Riah and Trey both recoupled with new partners. Riah recoupled with James Morris, whose original partner was Ryann McCracken, while Trey recoupled with Ryann. Riah and Trey reunited at The Changeover. While Riah’s relationship with James seemed to be over based on their differences around physical intimacy, Trey seemed to have formed a connection with Ryann, as the two didn’t have a single argument during their time together. Trey also follows Ryann on Instagram, while Riah follows James, and vice versa. (Riah also follows Ryann, while Trey also follows James, and vice versa.)
So are Riah and Trey still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? The answer is yes. Riah and Trey were one of four couples who got engaged in The Ultimatum Season 2 finale, along with Alex and Kat; Ryann and James; and Roxanne and Antonio. They confirmed they were still together during The Ultimatum Season 2 reunion. “Right after got engaged we went back to our regular life. Things are good, but I think work, like our work schedules … real life hit us again. We’ve been working through that,” Trey said during the reunion.
Trey also told hosts Nick and Vanessa Lacehy that his and Ryan’s relationship was “night and day” from what it was before The Ultimatum. “We could never have these kind of conversations, it would always end ugly. Now we’re having those conversations on a regular basis,” he said.
Riah also confirmed that she “does” want to have kids in the future, which was a hot topic for her and Trey during The Ultimatum. She told Nick and Vanessa that her previous aprehension to having children was a “defense mechanism” that developed after she and Trey got pregnant but there was “no heartbeat.” “For me to protect myself, I always said I didn’t want to have kids,” she said. Trey added, “That was extremely rough, especially for her.”
Before they confirmed they were still together, Riah and Trey hinted at their relationship status on their social media. Both Riah and Trey still follow each other on Instagram. However, neither had tagged photos with the other since The Ultimatum Season 2 premiered. In August 2023, Riah posted an Instagram photo of a still of her and the cast at The Choice, in which she tagged almost every cast member except for Trey. “What was I THINKING” she captioned the post. Trey did, however, like an Instagram photo Riah posted in July 2023 of her celebrating her 25th birthday. Riah, for her part, didn’t like Trey’s Instagram photo of him in March 2023 celebrating his 29th birthday. Neither commented on each other’s birthday posts. Trey also liked Riah’s Instagram post announcing she was on The Ultimatum Season 2 in July 2023.
