For the 2024 Oscars red carpet, Ryan Gosling wore a custom Gucci suit, complete with a sequin-like glitter trim. IMO, the look is already worthy of the gold, but Gosling topped it off with a secret nod to the movie he’s nominated for.

But before we get into that, let’s recap the noms. First, Gosling is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in the film, along with America Ferrera, who’s nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Margot Robbie noticeably got a Best Actress snub.

But that’s not stopping Barbie from taking over the night. Gosling is also set to perform his hit song from the movie, “I’m Just Ken,” live at the ceremony. If you didn’t already know, RyGo is more than just a pretty face AND an award winning actor; he’s also a talented singer who got his start on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside other stars like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

Back to the fashion: to top off his custom Gucci suit and also pay homage to Barbie, Gosling wore hot pink socks that just barely poke out of his all-black shoes. Blink and you’ll miss it. And that scruff? I mean, just because it’s the Oscars doesn’t mean you have to go totally straight edge to the red carpet. I love the added bit of personality that the facial hair gives the look.

Good thing we got SOME piece of pink on the carpet tonight, since Margot Robbie decided to forgo her now-infamous Barbie-inspired red carpet looks and go for an all-black ensemble as well tonight.
