Are Ryann and James still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? Ryann McCracken and James Morris were one of five original couples on Season 2 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Ryann, a 24-year-old radiologic technologist, was the Ultimatum Giver, while James, a 24-year-old grad student and research assistant, was the Ultimatum Receiver.
At The Choice, Ryann and James both recoupled with new partners. Ryann recoupled with Treyvon “Trey” Brunson, whose original partner was Jeriah “Riah” Nelson, while James recoupled with Riah. Ryann and James reunited at The Changeover. While James’ relationship with Riah seemed to be over based on his feelings for Ryann and his issues around physical intimacy, Ryann still seemed to have feelings for Trey, as the two didn’t have a single fight while they were together. So are Ryann and James still together from The Ultimatum Season 2? The answer is yes. Ryann and James were one of four couples who got engaged in The Ultimatum Season 2 finale, along with Alex and Kat; Roxanne and Antonio; and Riah and Trey. They confirmed they were still together during The Ultimatum Season 2 reunion, where James revealed he proposed to Ryann a second time after filming ended in a “more intimate experience.” “It was more unexpected and natural. It took me by surprise,” she said.
Ryann and James also confirmed they were living together in her family’s house as “one big happy family.” “He’s always been an only child so him having to experience siblings and how annoying they are sometimes … it’s showing him how it’s going to be in the future when we have kids and a family. It’s a reality check. It’s going to be kind of chaotic sometimes,” she said. Ryan continued, “It’s been good for us.” Ryan added, “I always knew it was Ryann. I’ve always known. The experience showed me what I needed to do to make it a reality.” Women’s Health also reported that Ryann and James had been sending each other Venmo requests since filming ended, which confirmed they were still together.
Before they confirmed they were still together, Ryann and James hinted at their relationship status on their social media. Both Ryann and James still follow each other on Instagram. Ryann also tagged James in an Instagram photo promoting The Ultimatum Season 2 in August 2023. The Ultimatum Season 2 is believed to have filmed from September to November 2022 based on the social media hiatuses of the cast members. In September 2022, James posted an Instagram photo in honor of Ryan’s 24th birthday. “Happy Birthday to my personal super woman 24 has never looked so good,” he wrote. Two years before that, in 2020, James shared another Instagram post in honor of his five-year anniversary with Ryann. “Words cannot express the amount of joy that this young woman has brought into my life. So, since I’m more of a numbers guy, maybe some numbers will. 5 years, 1825 days, 43,800 hours, 2,628,000, that is 157,680,000 (give or take 40,000 or 50,000 at the time of this post) seconds that I’ve been lucky enough to call this young woman mine. Infinity is not just a big number, it’s endless, immeasurable, and unstoppable,” he captioned the photo. “I love you Ryann Taylor McCracken and will continue to do so infinitely. I cannot to wait to spend this lifetime and an infinite number more with you.”
Though these posts were shared before The Ultimatum Season 2 started filming, they seemed to be clues that Ryann and James were still together given that he still had them up on his Instagram. James also still had a photo of him and Ryann as the icon for his TikTok profile. There are clues, however, that Ryann and James weren’t still together. In November 2022, Ryann shared an Instagram post with a series of photos of her with friends and family members for the holidays. Missing from the post was James. “Thankful for my people,” she captioned the post. While James wasn’t included in the post, it was likely that Ryan left him out on purpose to not spoil The Ultimatum Season 2.
