Baring your toes in public can be a scary thing. Feet used to be an afterthought, but suddenly not only are they fetching attention, but they’re bringing in bank. Singer Lily Allen recently revealed that she makes more money selling feet pics than she does streaming to 8 million people on Spotify. I don’t necessarily promote profiting off of your toes (although you do you), but what I will endorse is showing off your fabulous feet in a pair of sandals.

Yes, it can be daunting, especially if you don’t have a fresh pedicure. But the sandals below are so strappy, so sleek, so sexy (alright, that’s enough alliteration from me today), they’ll be sure to sway (just kidding!) you. My favorite part about sandals is that they’re easy to slip on and yet they elevate a look immediately. They’re reminiscent of summertime, of trotting along the sidewalk, or running down the beach. I love them in the morning with jean shorts, and in the evening with a long flowy dress and straight-out-of-the-shower hair. 

I also like that unlike heels, sandals are typically pretty comfortable and easy to walk in. This doesn’t mean they can’t be sexy though, which makes a great pair of sandals the perfect heels alternative for a fashionable and functional look. 

And you don’t have to scale sandals up: I’ve seen them many-a-time paired with jeans and a T-shirt for the perfect casual day-to-day aesthetic. The long and the short (and the strappy) of it is this: sandals are in!
