Ever since Sofia Richie Grainge took to TikTok to share behind-the-scenes fashion and beauty videos of her wedding weekend, the internet has cemented her as their newest it girl—mostly because of her chic style and (surprisingly) achievable beauty routine. Everyone is absolutely obsessed with her makeup and skincare, but recently, we’ve become especially interested in her most-used hair products.
On TikTok, Grainge took fans inside her luxe bathroom to teach them how to get her iconic sleek bun. The video has millions of likes and fully convinced us to ditch sticky hairsprays immediately. “I really love you guys for thinking this is like my chic hairstyle,” Grainge says, “This is actually my lazy girl hairstyle.” Luckily for us, her video detailed all of the products she uses and the simple steps it takes to get the look.
Lazy girls rejoice, not only is Grainge’s sleek bun easy to do at home—the exact products she uses aren’t incredibly expensive.
Rather than messy gels and stiff hairsprays to enhance the slick, she prefers nourishing products to create a sleek look. A nourishing mask, lightweight lotion, and repairing oil all possess the ability to keep the updo in place while minimizing any damage.
Then, she uses an Oribe lotion to smooth out her hair. Lucky for those of us who struggle with removing all the bumps from the top of our head (and get subsequent hand cramps from doing so), Grainge says, “The top is not the most important, it’s getting the back part sealed down to your head.”
As a last step, Grainge seals all of her hard work with oil. “Because it started wet it is so secured onto your head like a helmet without being sticky,” she explains as she shows off her flawless bun. Consider this our new favorite hairstyle, thanks to its use of hair-nourishing products and how easy it is.
